I seem to have completed all the tasks/missions accessible via the boop card. I found Marin’s glitchy email (and thus learned her fate/whereabouts?) and helped Ximena hack the DramCorp phone system and displayed a video message on the array of screens in the factory.

I earned a code name and passed a secret phrase on to a DramCorp white coat.

I’m headed back later today (June 26) for my final visit and I’m wondering, besides my planned deep-dive into available documents, computers, videos, etc, what might be left for me to do?

Last time I was here my Old Fashioned Spray was served in a slanted glass. This time I noticed most drinks were served in disposable plastic cups. :(

Maybe too many glasses were wandering out into the exhibits?

I have one of the red Matt Szeto 720s and that came set up with one red and one blue spacer— supposedly his preferred setup. The new blue 720 arrived with two red spacers. (This is the same spacer setup in a conventional 720 I own) I can’t find mention of this setup anywhere. Has Matt altered his spacer setup?

This was such a great show— I had so much fun! (Even from my seat in the balcony!) And the opening bands Bandulu and The Lashes were fantastic!!

Last time I saw The Aquabats in concert in Portland was… 2018? Why can’t I remember?? I take this as a warning sign— I’ve been far too cavalier about their stops in Portland.

Hello thrower hive mind. Anyone out there throw Henrys yo-yos? Got any wisdom to share regarding setup? I have a Lizard (red) and Tiger Snake (black) from maybe 2002 (I had no idea about anything when I originally bought them). I just bought a couple replacement axle systems (axys) for them. A “slider” (plastic bearing) and a “woodoo” (wooden bearing).

The Lizard has no response system to speak of. The inside is smooth and glossy. It plays totally unresponsive, even at narrowest string gap. Any hacks to make this yoyo responsive? It seems most silicone response pads are designed to fit in a recess which this yoyo doesn’t have.

The Tiger Snake has a “barely there” starburst and at anything other than fully tight it also plays unresponsive. Currently have a garden-variety poly-cotton string mounted, will switch to a KS normal and see how that affects throwing. I bought a “woodoo” axys axle assuming it was a fixed wooden axle and that would provide more responsiveness, but it’s actually a wooden “bearing” and thus seemingly pointless.

Again, any tips from veteran Henrys users would be much appreciated.

Nice little haul from Yoyofactory. I especially like the “laser fail” wooden yo-yos. They play well and the failed laser etches don’t really look awful. However, they left out the Matt Szeto blue Loop 720 I ordered!

Throw-Bots! Yo-Bots?

I draw robots. I love throwing. I finally got off my proverbial butt and made some replacement pogs for a small batch of ProYos. Original drawing on one side and a print on the other. (These are new ProYos, not from my stash.)

Going to (try to) sell them this weekend at a new local comic con (Hillsboro, OR)
