HAYLEY'S DEATH

here's my take on who's responsible if we just consider the story from a characteristic pov, not contemplating the writing or the actors issue.

imo apart from greta, who's obv the main culprit here, elijah was at fault big time. like in what world does it make sense for an "original" vampire who has thousands of enemies to let go of their memories??? THE WORST PLOT EVER. Like he should've known that if he forgot everything, he'd forget all his relations and obviously stop caring about hope and could eventually go near her easily enough. Like, didn't he realize he would fail miserably at protecting her if he forgot everything and stopped caring??? It's just horrible writing, and you can't convince me otherwise.

Also, i fail to understand why people blame hope and klaus for it. Like, do tell me your reasons, but honestly, Hope just wanted to see her dad. She put up a cloaking spell and had ZERO idea anyone would harm hayley in the city where everyone loved her. Also, greta would've taken hayley anyway. It had nothing to do with leaving hayley unarmed, considering hayley was awake when they took her. Hope putting her to sleep had literally nothing to do with it because they WOULD'VE taken her otherwise, too.

AND as for klaus, i mean I'm totally with him for killing August and that stupid organisation considering what they were doing to other people just because they thought of them as abominations of nature and perceived themselves to be pure vampires. Like August had killed hundreds of werewolves for no reason apart from his own insecurities, so whatever klaus did was most definitely justified atp.It was more than what was expected of him when he showed mercy to Greta and her kids, considering his reputation and the murderous rampage he was on at the time. Also, not to forget that Greta's MAIN goal when she came all those years later wasn't to avenge her husband mainly but to rid the earth of whomsoever she considered a weird species.

in my opinion, if it's anyone fault apart from greta and roman, it was elijah. People often use the excuse that he didn't have his memories or whatever, but he KNEW. One doesn't have to remember stuff alone, it was the fact that he knew klaus was his blood brother, and had a daughter who he had sworn to protect even if he didn't remember, there is a certain kind of feeling that exists for a person who you know belongs to you. He knew that the old elijah loved a girl named hayley, and anyone would've protected her out of respect of whatever thing they had back then. I mean, he went in to save roman, saw he was alright, but still didn't prevent greta from killing a mother while her child lay lifeless? Like anyone would know who's in danger here.

Apart from bad writing and phoebe wanting to leave the show, the entire plot made no sense. Like couldn't hayley take off hopes shackles when they had bought down roman and hope would be able to do literally any spell to get them out, or atleast break gretas neck when she entered giving them ample time to leave till nightfall?

I mean this is the same hope who would do all these unlinking spells to unlink davina and inadu, the same hope who blew off davina and the four harvest girls at the age of 7 and suddenly she can't even break off the shackles like freya did in s2?

controversial take but i absolutely DESPISE marcel in the end of season 3

like to begin with, it's not that i can't seem to understand his actions, i do see where he's coming from, yet I've disliked marcel all along. first of all- you're telling me klaus literally saved marcel, gave him a name, rescued him from being beaten to death, further gave him the immortality he kept begging for (not to mention marcel betraying rebekah for it).

this guy then goes on to show the level of sick ungratefulness where he calls upon klaus's father/abuser while klaus rescued him from his??? like i would NOT bear that. and to make things worse upon klaus confronting him, he isn't even SORRY about it???

honestly, i NEVER liked marcel as a leader, like even when he was ruling New orleans , he was only good to his people-the vampires. Klaus, on the other hand, might be cruel, but in his rule, as shown by the flashbacks witches and werewolves, vampires all thrived TOGETHER.

but then, right, as i start to eventually like him, as he saves hope and all, the writers mess up his character again at the end of season 3. pray tell me WHY would marcel react that horribly to davinas death. like ik shes like a daughter to him, I'd completely understand if he stopped talking to the entire mikealsons or wanted nothing to do with them, but to start acting like they started everything? also i love davina, she's one of my fav characters, i definitely felt really sorry for her, but why were marcel and vincent acting like she just a small kid getting in the middle of it all?

LIKE IM SORRY but she literally tried killing the mikealsons SO MANY times yet klaus never actually tried killing her, and elijah downright refrained him from doing so if klaus was ever to lash out up until the very end. like, does everyone forget that from a characters pov davina wasn't some innocent bystander but an active participant in all the ongoing war?? she bought mikeal back to life to kill klaus, helped esther, broke klaus's sire bond, which btw bought all of his enemies to a town where his 2 year old daughter was. Yet klaus never acc reacted how marcel would've if davina had meant nothing to him, we already see marcel being downright horrible to even vampires who dont go by his rules.

Also, why was davinas sacrifice treated as it was either saving her or the mikealsons like lucien was shown to kill literally anyone. It was more like davinas death or the death of the entire mikealson family and numerous other lives. AND THEN, not to mention Vincent, could somebody please tell what kind of a major plothole was vincent going up to marcel, giving him the serum and acting all like "we need to get out city back". um did you forget that you're a supposed witch, or what was happening to Witches marcel was ruling the city? like, are you blind to your own skin?

And i get marcel getting all mad after elijah killed him, I'd be downright pissed too, BUT if anyone had seen sucha prophecy and the very man shown to kill you in the prophecy standing infront of you with the very means to kill you, whilst spouting hate for your family, any other would've killed him too. I don't mind marcel punishing them after they killed him, but what kind of sick writing even bought the situation at this hands? Like how does marcel not understand that davina dying wasn't something the mikealsons enjoyed, and even then it wasn't klaus who ordered it. He had asked them to find another way, so why would marcel do all that to every member of the family. Sorry for the long rant, but i just never understood the dynamic they had because all through season 2 and 3, marcel was supporting them, so this sudden change just felt like bad writing to me.

Caroline judging elena for being with damon

okay, so i was recently watching the vampire diaries, season 3 and 4 and i fail to understand why is caroline bashed for judging elena being with damon? HEAR ME OUT. like the first scene where caroline calls out elena for acting weird is the miss mystic dance when technically elena was sired to damon and was literally agreeing with everything he was saying like a puppet. im sorry but excuse her friend for noticing that. carolines the one who figured out she was sired to him, because thats not normal elena behaviour to begin with. in the initial seaosns, you can see elena calling out damon for his shit but right after she becomes a vampire, she's just okay with everything, and her friends aren't supposed to recognize the shift in behaviour??

ALSO, in that scene, Jeremy was lost somewhere, and elena was worrying where he might be when damon tells her not to worry because he'd probably be at a bar and elena mindlessly agrees all caroline says is that "damons sneaky, manipulative and rude... but he's never right. How can you not see that? I think your feelings for damon are really starting to cloud your judgement. "

i mean, it's not about elenas attraction, but how she just stopped caring about the type of person damon was when she got turned. AND to everyone saying that caroline is a hypocrite because she herself has all these moments with klaus. see, that's the difference right there. she doesn't judge elena for having feelings for damon. She calls her out for those feelings, clouding her judgement and decisions. with klaus, they shared good moments, forced by her friends to distract him. Yes, she totally develops feelings for him, but that doesn't alter her judgement of klaus being the bad guy. she doesn't stop stefan or even tyler for trying to kill him. she doesn't tell her friends even once that he has protected us many times too. elena literally says how damon has always been there for her, to which i agree, but he has also damaged her friend's lives so many times. caroline doesn't state the fact anytime that klaus has saved her many times. not until they meet like 20 smth years after which anyone would, considering he was somebody who she considered could keep her daughters save when she later tries to seek him in s7. i feel like with caroline its true no doubt that she finds klaus attractive and after certain meetings doesn't actually mind hanging out with him like she pretends to and klaus is no saint, all im saying is she doesn't suddenly start acting like klaus's the good guy or smth which is exactly what elena does for damon who doesn't change until after s6.

I'm also sorry if you think otherwise I'm open to views. It's just that i genuinely can't comprehend what's so wrong in friends calling out eo about their choices. caroline has always felt that stefan was the better man, ofcourse she'd think elena was crazy for leaving him to be with his brother and was likely to call her out like any of our friends do, but she doesn't keep that up. once they get tg, she never brings it up again, so why is she constantly labelled as a hypocrite, i genuinely don't get it. NOT TO MENTION that caroline literally calls out klaus ALL the time. even if she secretly is attracted towards him, she calls him out for murdering tylers mom and aunt jenna, i litr can't recall elena calling out damon for turning vicki or ANYONE calling out damon for murdering lexi or Tyler's uncle mason twice again, like they're not important because they're not somebodys parents?
