graduating high school soon and id like to visit.

Title. I take japanese at school, so i have some language skills. Ive also been once before, so im not particularly interested in going to all the super touristy attractions. My plan was just to go to different areas each day and explore a little, but id also like some more structure so im not wasting my time there. For context, I'll be there for about 2 weeks in jan-feb next year, probably staying in some hostel.

Any other tips are welcome; how much money i should set aside for it, things to watch out for/be cautious of, etc.

to survive the pain, what are everyones post-exam plans?

im probably gonna rest for a bit, but then i want to go on an overseas trip somewhere. Or if i dont do that, ill probably get a retail job for a bit, get some cash in the bank, and do fun stuff within the country. And decide whether or not to take a gap year

struggling to do lit practice essays - think i found the source but not sure what to do about it

Right so essentially, i have the worst study habits ever, and the only time i ever do practice essays are when we do practice sacs in class. Now somehow im doing quite well in lit at the moment, but obviously thats not gonna last bc of the aforementioned dogshit study habits.

After some reflection, i think im too intimidated by doing a whole essay and receiving feedback on it. Which is odd, because every time ive gotten feedback, my teacher has been absolutely lovely and given the most useful, constructive feedback ever HOWEVER i still struggle to do practice writing. I faced a similar issue last year, where i did barely any practice exams for my 3/4s because i was so intimidated by the prospect of doing a whole exam and then marking it and getting a result for it (ironically i do fine in sacs and exams? Like its not an issue with those and i do reasonably well but like ykwim?)

I literally can only write or do stuff when i have no choice but to do it, like if we're doing a practice in class or something. My question is how do i overcome this?

drank for the first time

I didnt have much, one hard solo at a party with some friends. I stayed on the cautious side because i didnt want to accidentally get out of control before i was ready. So naturally i didnt feel too much. I would say i acted slightly more like i do when im in my head/by myself, as opposed to when im around others, and i was maybe slightly less anxious about my friends being idiots. I might drink a bit more next time, but probably not much until after my exams are over 😭😭
