I reconfigured the SP9A3s

I changed to a Votatu multi reticle red dot, that was on my 1301 shotgun. These sites can take a beating. Then I got the toughsoul laser light combo that mounts on the top pic rail. I can still co-witness the flip up sights and I don’t have to take the red dot off. I like this, it keeps it all low profile and I can still use a see clamp grip up front. I did take the folding charging handle out and put the original back in. I also changed to the 40 degree block and took the short stroke buffer out as I plan to run this suppressed. Lastly, I changed the brace from the SIG to the Gear head and I think this setup is perfect. I just need to sight everything in as soon as possible.

Which way to go?

Here are three 10mm pistols, the Stribog SP10A3 as the go to for more power, just bit. The FN 510 Tactical 22 rnd mags, the Grand Power P40L with rotating barrel, a smoother recoil action than the FN 510. Which would you go with as the side kick to Stribog beast?

I picked this up through Dury’s

I got it shipped to my FFL for $1253. It came with 3 18rnd mags and 3 15rnd mags. Shot it at the range and the Delta Point optic was dead on. Now, I need to form1 a can for it. I was going to use my R45 can but I think I should make a 10mm myself. This fit right into a PDP 45acp holster I had for a X300 ultra light. I think it was a lucky deal for me.

New ATF Brace and Stabilizer stance.

PSA: If you put extras on your stabilizers, like cheek risers I might suggest you remove them. They could be used against you as it can make a good case you are shouldering the brace.

I know in the past ATF said you were OK shouldering it but as of yesterday that is not how the new guys see it.

Second, short eye relief optics can create the same issue.

Third, 2 point slings and possibly a sling in general, it’s not the same as a dummy cord.

Third, overall weight and length as well as trigger pull length on the brace or stabilizer you are using. Make sure you are in the parameters outlined by the law.

Forth, it’s not what you can prove it’s how it looks to a jury of idiot peers, most likely non gun knowledgeable peers. Once you hit the system it’s a snowball you will most likely not win against. So, just don’t poke the bear, be safe and be smart.

Fifth, we need to be a squeaky wheel in the ears of law makers to get them to repeal this infringement and SBR/SBS law. That is the only way it will change.

Sixth, front grips and such, if it’s not obvious to an idiot non gun peer that it has no vertical anything, then I might suggest removing it.

Lastly, don’t FAFO this or you will be made an example of. I am removing anything that could be used against me or incriminate myself. As I am sure I have interpretive additions and photos of such on the webs as well as videos. So I am just saying remove those things now, as the ATF leadership put the warning out yesterday.

Also, try to use braces and stabilizers that have ATF approval letters like SB tactical. Non approved gear can create opps that can work against you.

Good luck stay safe.

GP suppressor?

I have the MK12 Q100 and Q1, I am looking into swapping the barrels and threading the extended portion of the Q100 that is now in the Q1 as pictured. I have already designed a suppressor that should work for rotating barrel firearms. It will be something new to the market. What would be the interests? Or marketability both in America and other countries?

SP45A3 Suppressed +P Ammo and POI

Here I am shooting the Gold Dot G2 230gr +P ammo only. On the left of the target is the FDE Bog, zero at 30 Ft, this is my home defense gun so I wanted POI dead on at 50ft or less. The rooms in most houses are less than 25ft. Yes, I installed the 35 degree bolt Blocks as I intend to shoot mostly +P ammo.

On the right is the Black Bog and I wanted its POI higher Incase I should need to be shooting beyond 50ft. My Black Bog is a truck gun option so I want it to be able to engage further targets. I still need to get to an outside range but due to recent rain the outdoor range was not usable.

You can see I had to walk my rounds back toward center target with the Black one since my previous range trip. Which might indicate my sights are not holding zero, that is worrisome. And yes I might still need to adjust POI a little right on the Black Bog. The picture of a single shot at the “A” was aiming dead center.

Has any felt the need to go to the solid roller pins and why?

Took the boys to the range suppressed SP45A3

FDE was up first, obviously the mic on my phone filters the actual sound. I fired standard 230gr FMJ first. The actual no ears sound has a slight high pitch using the YHM R45’s. It was very mild, however the Gold dot G2 +P 230gr had I much more noticeable high pitch initial impulse and 5 rounds was enough for me. I forgot my sound meter to get actual numbers but I will do it again some time soon. I did notice I had to change my zero from the last range trip on both guns. That did not give me a warm and fuzzy as both my sights were holosun. I have not had that happen with holosun before. One was the AEMS and the other was the 510c. The suppressor was not the issue nor did it change POI I checked that by taking both cans off and POI was near the same. Both sights were mounted tight. Both guns are tack drivers. I did change the bolt blocks to the 35 degree blocks maybe that changed the POI. Also, they did not seem gassy at all and all rounds cycled with no issues using the 35 degree blocks.

The R45 cans came in 5 days wait, awesome.

Here is the rig with its little bro, the GP P45L. The 10mm bog is haunting me since I already have the GP P40L as well. Tempting.

SP45A3 trilug question

So, I bought the HuxWorks trilug muzzle device and it appears that one of them is out of spec because the YHM Trilug mount adapter doesn’t wanna work on my FDE Stribog. however they both work on the Black stribog so, is that threaded piece supposed to be loosened or there’s that gap you can see in one picture to make it work or do I need to pull the muzzle device off. And put it in the lathe and cut the backside of the lugs off just a bit or do I call huxworks and have them send me a new one. Any of you guys have experience with the 45 caliber trilugs?

Dos amigos and a brace swap

I got the black one in yesterday, re-zeroed both at the range since I changed the sights around. I just can’t stand that gear head works retracting stock, so I took it off and put it on the 9mm. I like this sig but I think I will need to get another strike industries with riser like I have on the black one. My ADHD is quietly telling me I need the a 10mm now…not today Satan!

Speaking of Satan, yes that is a toughsoul tactical light on the black one. Yes it’s cheap, light and it works. Satan won’t be getting that soul anytime soon. How long it works…I don’t know. For $26 bucks I don’t care. It has a flip up guard on the switch pad to keep you from accidentally pressing it. It’s a nice idea but it has no tactile or audible click when it’s in position.

With a life time of shooting guns the wire frame retractable stocks have always sucked in opinion over a side folder. This gear head works that came with the purchase is no exception. I tried hoping years of technological break through would have changed my opinion but it failed. Have both options at the range, the strike industries is superior and half the price. Lesson learned. Fortunately for me, someone screwed up the sale price when I bought the FDE and I got it for $1150.00. A win for me, but it doesn’t change the fact o have to spend that savings to fix a bad design.

If you are on the fence I suggest skip the retractable stock, get the one with no stock. Buy a KES if you just have to have the tacticool retractor. If not, the solid money is in the strike industries brace or stock. Also, get the aluminum pic back plate from either HB industries or strike industries. Keep in mind both may make your rear pin a bit tight to insert or take out.

That’s my 2 cents, hope it helps someone.

Made a sight change I like

I had the black AEMS on this but then I bought another SP45A3 in black, so that sight will go one the new one. I bought this holosun in green and I like it much better. The sight window is larger and it is solar back up. The FDE color almost matches the receiver perfect.

The laser light combo is a Votatu…I know what you are thinking but I have used and abused a lot of this gear from this Chinese company and they hold up and keep working. So I went with one of there newer models. Their FDE color doesn’t match but I don’t care as it is function that matters. This has a very bright over 1000 lumens light output, green laser/IR laser if you want to run nods. It is fully selectable and battery life is fantastic. At least on the other models I have bought. Aluminum and steel construction. Here is a link to this one it is lighter than the other one I have tested on my AR which I will leave a link to both. I’m not a sales men for their gear, I just like the price point and their stuff is rugged. You can find this cheaper on Amazon.

Here is the black one and I should have bought this instead but the Tan was not available at the time. I have ran a lot of rounds through this on my AR and it is awesome.

PSA: if you get the Gear Head Works wire frame Brace or stock it will not fully close using the HB industries BHO. The second picture is reference to this.

New Bog to the Squad, use the AFG or no?

I bought an AFG and cut the wings off because I couldn’t find the right one. However, I kind of like it without the AFG. Opinions?

Second, I ran rounds through all the mags except 2 of the FDE ones. I had 2 first round FTE’s, however I did not use the BHO to engage I used the charging handle on those, so that might have been the issue. Second, 2 mags I could load 26 rnds and 2mags I got 28 rnds in each. The are GP mags not HK. I ran 2 mags of gold dot LE g2 JHP 230gr +p without issue. A little more kick but I was stacking bullets 25yrds. The braced stock sucks without a doubt. So, I ordered a cheek riser from Sker Tactical, I hope it takes the brace from suck to a keeper. Otherwise into the junk brace box it goes. No, I want the find a good priced Black one.

First a home defense setup. I would like to get a can that is as short as possible and quiet as possible. It doesn’t have to be movie quiet but enough quiet, I don’t wake the whole neighborhood or blow my ears out.

The second would ideally be for a vehicle gun, needs to be short, preferably fat for expansion and quiet enough in close quarters of a vehicle. It needs to be light as possible.

It would be nice if it could be used on 450 bushmaster, .458 SOCOM.

“Show me what you got!”

jk 155 versax 45 these are a great concept but the baffle design sucks, I don’t these actually work. Probably do better with washers.

I like the YHM R45 but I think it is heavy

The hybrid 46m has a retardmaxx mounting system but it is a good can design

The hybrid 46 is just long.

The omega 45 anyone of you use this, it looks promising.

Others ????

Here is the real great man setup, small adidas backpack from Ross 14.99. It fits my rig, 3-5 extra mags and a suppressor if needed as well as a bottle of water. Walk through a crowd or down a street and no one would even take notice. Add thick .5” packing foam in the bottom so the barrel does show and doesn’t clang if you set it down.

I have an MP5K with my trilug mount it is the same length and felt weight empty is the same. I had friends asking so people coming might want to know. I have been running 147gr subs in my bog and have not changed the angle from the factor delay. I got away from the HK’s because of have to worry about angled bolt setups and which grain bullets etc.. it’s gets exhausting not to mention broken extractor springs.

At price the Bog just eats everything I put in it and keeps on trucking. Even the newer curved mags work great for me. In the second photo I put the lingle lower on the minibog. The SB tactical HK brace is removed for the strike stabilizer. I’m just posting these for info because it was hard to find pics of different brace options and to answer some HK comparison questions others might have.

This is my other Bog, I just got the strike industries stabilizer in and it is solid for the money compared to the SB triangle and the Sig brace. Metal hinge and metal shaft, the stabilizer is polymer. Optics planet had it sale so I got one to try out. You can also see sling mounts on here if you are in the market for one. The diagonal hole sling mount is cool but without gloves you run the risk of losing knuckle skin or a fingernail. It does make a nice gas pedal though. I have the HK style SB tactical braces but I took them off for 2 reasons. They don’t fold on the left side of the gun and they don’t lock in place. All three (Sig not pictured but is in another post of mine) of these lock and stay folded, you have to pull up to unlock. So, which one should I run with?

u/falguy_nr — 2 months ago

I have a lingle lower gen 1 on another bog. I bought this A3 polymer lower and noticed the BHO needs some shaving to function smoothly. I really like the grandpower lower. I just have a lot of CZ mags so I bought this to try out. I have a rise trigger and ambi selector installed. Yes, I have the folding charging handle on the S model and I don’t care if it hangs over. The Sig brace I got in a trade and makes it really small for compact spaces like a vehicle. What did you guys do fix the BHO on the A3 polymer?
