Hi,
So I’ve booked a flight on Air Canada from SOF-FRA-YUL-YYC using Aeroplan rewards + cash. The first leg is with Lufthansa. My ticket shows an Economy standard reward on Air Canada with 1 checked piece of luggage included. On Lufthansa, it shows the same, but when I click on the detailed baggage policy, it says it's not included in the fare. It’s confusing

So I've done 2 rural FM electives. My goal is to match FM. I've got the option of doing an IM Infectious diseases elective, or maybe another FM elective.

I don't think I like the IM lifestyle

Are 2 FM elective LORs + 1 LOR from an FM observership competitive enough?

I’d like to apply to the 2028 CaRMS match.

Current stats:

Graduation: December 2027 from a European medschool with 1 year pre-diploma internship

Home province: Alberta/NL, did 1 year of highschool in both. Not sure if IP for AB

MCCQE/Nac OSCE: Planned for May and September 2027

Electives: Two rural FM in BC, IM/FM observerships in Alberta

Extracurricular: Part of university societies, Youth Red Cross

Research: 1 first author pub, 4 pending non first author (not the best papers)

What else should I do? I know I need to prep really well for the MCCQE and Nac. I’ve got the opportunity to do an IM elective. Should I do it? My goal is to match either FM or IM.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

All the YOG have been removed, and other match data. If you guys can fix it, please do it. This is helpful for us Canadians trying to apply to future matches

I've done two electives in rural FM and one in IM. I know I need three letters to apply to both specialities.
