Classroom guitar

Hi music teachers. I’m teaching a couple high school guitar classes and I’m already getting bored. What are some fun ways you incorporate technique and popular music? Were using a classical guitar method and idk. Just want to hear from other people. Help!!

Dogs in grocery stores/restaurants etc

EDIT: quite a few people are bringing up “unruly kids” that is not the same thing. The thing that makes me the most upset over this is people ABUSING having a “service animal” and using it as a crutch to bring their little yappy dogs into grocery stores. I never once mentioned anything about kids. People who don’t have disabilities or need an actual service animal say “it’s a service animal” JUST SO THEY CAN BRING THEIR DOG WITH THEM. Not cool. It’s ruining it for people who actually need their working dogs. And making people who truly need the service look like the bad people.

Chill out Karens. Kids are kids, that’s not my issue.

Rant. Anyone else super sick of seeing dogs in grocery stores and other places with food everywhere! I went to Trader Joe’s the other day and just in that instance, there were TWO people inside with their little chihuahuas walking around. And one was poorly trained, jumping on people, and barking. No service animal vest or anything. Guys, come on, it’s gross! I love my dog too but they don’t need to come with you everywhere.

Obviously I have no issue with people who actually have trained service animals/alert dogs. But I’m highly suspicious that the little white yapper dog isn’t a TRAINED service animal. People that abuse this really piss me off, as someone who has a disability and might really need assistance from a service animal one day.

I guess employees are apprehensive to doing anything since service animals and certifications aren’t really regulated and it isn’t legal to ask for documentation, but I really wish it was. (As far as I know?) And again, this ruins it for people who truly need it.

Don’t be that person who ruins it for someone who truly needs the service animal! I promise Sprinkles will be ok at home!

Enucleation recovery

Hey there fellow one eye friends, I had my eye removed Friday and I’m just wondering what your experience was with recovery? I feel like my surgeon really down played how painful the process is. It has been incredibly painful. I was given a prescription for Percocet and that still didn’t take away all the pain, and now I’m out. After surgery, I was told I could drive tomorrow (Saturday) if I felt up to it. Obviously I haven’t left my house since then. Do you feel the same? Or am I just having bad luck? Thanks in advance (:
