Ever since a friendship/situationship ended and hurt me deeply, I've noticed that I keep people at a distance. Whenever I start getting close to someone, I become anxious about the attachment and constantly think about how the relationship will eventually end.

It's like I'm trying to protect myself from getting hurt again, but at the same time, it's preventing me from forming meaningful connections. I often pull away before things get too deep, even when I genuinely like the person.
