Anybody own a snow apartment or member in a lodge?

Just curious about the economics of it

Are maintenance costs higher because of weather / fewer tradies in the area? Are there property managers who would rent out the property when you're not using it? Do you get booked out during the winter months and then sits empty during the summer? Are there taxes and fees beyond what a normal investment property might have?

I'm particularly interested in Buller or Hotham, but feel free to share from anywhere 🤞

How do you think about risk?

Looking for advice from advanced players about when to go for your shots vs playing it safe.

Let's say 0% risk is being 5-0 40-0 up and chipping high over the net with low pace to the middle or cross court, standing still with your favorite FH. Not taking any risk probably means you likely get attacked, but you can make this shot pretty much a million times out of a million.

And say 100% risk are those Alcaraz wonder shots where he is down championship point but will pull out a running FH passing shot down the line with pace, skimming the top of the net. For mere mortals maybe you make this shot 1 out of 30 times.

Do you usually play at say 70%? Or more like building the point at 10% and take it up to 40% if the ball is short?

Do you start hot and hope to break your opponent while they are cold, or do you ease into a match?

Do you up/lower the risk if your opponent takes more risk? Go for more or less when up or down break points? Different for different surfaces?

I feel I have lost matches both by taking too much and not enough risk, and I'm not sure what is the "right" way to think about it.
