I need to replace the oven at a rental property. Looking to spend <$1000 and really focusing on reliability and durability more than anything else.
So far I have been looking at GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire. Been told to stay away from LG and Samsung (might be hard to do at Costco).
Where should I point my arrow?
I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel and have opted to go for a Miele DGC 6800 combo steam oven (non plumbed).
Going over the installation notes for the cabinet maker I see that Miele is calling for a cut out vent in the cabinet behind the oven itself (under counter configuration).
What I am not too clear on is if the toe kick requires a fresh air vent to draw it into the backside of the oven or just needs to pull air from the existing cabinet’s cavity (no formal intake air)?
Comparing EVSE chargers for Non-Tesla Vehicles that can charge on solar. It's recommending Wallbox over Emporia Pro (I think mainly due to its closed API)....thoughts?

I currently have a Tesla Gen 3 NACS which according to support has a "internal error in the handle" and is not allowing the car to charge correctly.
Could the handle or entire power cord be replaced?
Now going forward, if I have to replace the charger, then I will opt for the Gen 3 universal version, but unsure if the base plate is exactly the same as my existing charger?
I am getting conflicting results in my search.
Customer is installing a Viking 48" Series 7 all gas range oven. Even though the it comes with a 1/2" gas fitting, is it recommended to consider the supply be a 1/2" or 3/4" line?
Is it just a best practice to opt for 3/4" line or can 1/2" line be utilized without impacting total performance?
Looking to get this replaced and very interested to hear from installers on which brands should be avoided. Yes, the house has solar, but it doesn't mean I have to go with a heat pump (no rebates worth a damn from SCE).
It's currently a 3.5 ton unit for the second floor (with 6 runs) so things can get toasty (vaulted ceilings in master) in the summer vs downstairs. According to the building plans it called for a total of 7 tons of cooling at 9 seer.
The upstairs is a total of 1900 sqft. So far tonnage discussed has been around 4 -5 tons, with 5 tons pushing it on the acceptable scale. I have the option to replace the #6 ducting in the attic and add more registers/runs with an added return as well. It seems this is a must if going to a 5ton, optional with a 4ton replacement.
I am screening all the brands I am being offered. Can't seem to find the "one". Though, some feedback is pointing me towards Goodman/Amana. Trane is available in my area, but how are the replacement parts costs like for their entry level stuff (MODEL # TSTTR5060A1000A)? Ideally, as an home owner, I want the ability to replace some of these parts myself at reasonable costs.

Lennox, AC Pro, Goodman, Trane, American Standard (this is Lennox?), and Ecoer 19 seer 410A

I am a new user of the Tesla powerwall and currently enjoy using the app to get familiar with the product and my new PV system.
I currently have a Tesla wall charger v3 that has died. I was thinking about going with the another aftermarket charger, but after seeing the data feed under the Tesla app, I am starting to think this might not be such a hot idea.
Note, I am not necessarily charging a Tesla vehicle at the moment but that might change in the future.
So is it foolish to go to something like an Autel or ChargePoint charger considering my set up at home and how the Tesla app can monitor the solar generation, consumption and charging of any EV vehicle, etc.?
In a single day, my system generated 100kwh and only 24% of that generation was consumed by a
Combination of the house and Powerwall? 76% was wasted/pushed back to the grid?
I am new to the world of steam ovens and have found two specific models that I am comparing/debating against.
Miele DGC6800-1SS and Fisher&Paykal OS30NPX1 F
Both units are older demo units at pretty good savings, 60% and 80% off respectively.
Price aside, which one would you prefer and feel more confident with regards to performance, quality and reliability?
I do like the Miele for its larger capacity oven and what seems to be a more modern UI when comparted to that generation of F&P.
Does the Miele's motorized door, present a future potential issue down the road?
Looking at 48" luxury ranges:
A) Viking all gas series 7 (new, but highly discounted, not far off from the wolf below)
b) Wolf all gas (used, but still has the latest knobs and door design)
What started as a quest to get a dual fuel, is now leaning towards all gas and freeing up the 240 line for another component, like a speed or steam oven. The impression I am getting is that regardless of brand, a duel fuel will eventually present a control board problem and no brand is necessarily immune from that (Thermador taking top honors here).
Thoughts? What would you be more comfortable with?
