Is everyone at Miele Customer Service always rude?

I love my Miele Washer and Dryer and every time I call them for legitimate issues they are so rude and trained to either say no or not help at all even when you have a legitimate issue.

I even spoke with supervisors and the tone of voice they use is very unprofessional and rude and that’s more than one of them I’ve spoken to.

I wonder if Bosch is this way with their customers?

I don’t know if I’m here to vent just quite frustrated with how they handle their customers. Makes me not purchase from them anymore and get another brand.

No 3D printer, live in the UK, powerdisk refill solution?

In an ideal world I have a 3d printer and can get one of those lids you can refill.

Are there any companies that print for a reasonably low cost? Half the things I see on ebay are charging ridiculous prices!

Or should I just stick with cutting a small hole and covering with tape?

I must be getting old.

I’ve had a Miele T1 heat pump “dryer” for just over a year. Had the technician out twice. He couldn’t explain how to do mixed washes. He suggested since the clothes come-out damp I should finish on a clothes rack. Silly me, imagine not realising that the new dryer also needs a clothes rack. When you live in a tropical climate, putting damp clothes away leads to a mould collection.

Anyway, I must be getting old. My old dryer did what I wanted. Exactly. Now I have a modern new expensive dryer where I have to live with what it decides.

Another disgruntled Miele user

My 5-year old Miele G7150 dishwasher developed the dreaded F70/Waterproof fault, where an internal leak causes water to pool in the bottom of the machine. I called out the service techician, who told me that I was loading the pots wrongly in the bottom rack. Apparantly, I was stacking the pots at the front of the machine at an angle facing outwards, that is towards the machine's door. The force of the spray causes water to leak through the bottom of the door into the pan at the bottom of the machine.

So I paid €150 to the service techician to tell me how to properly stack pots in my dishwasher that cost €1300. He claimed that this is explicitly mentioned in the user guide. I checked, and it isn't. What he didn't say is that the machine was not properly designed to handle the internal water pressure generated by the spray arms. Or that Miele are using lower-quality seals.

Is there any point in paying the Miele premium? The local consumer advocacy organisation here in Belgium recently published a reliability report for dishwashers. Miele used to regularly top the reliability rankings, but has now dropped out of the top-three.

Vinegar in washing machine rinse cycle?

Been trying vinegar in our wash cycles to remove soap buildup and get our towels softer.

  • This goes in the fabric softener compartment and gets dispersed in the rinse cycle
  • We have adjusted twin dos levels to where we see minimal suds in the wash
  • I turn on the optional extra rinse setting
  • I run an extra rinse cycle if I still see suds in the door gasket

How safe is it for the hoses and rubber gaskets of the washing machine? I'm thinking I should run an extra rinse after to flush out any remains vinegar residue

Miele T1 Dryer - End of Cycle Question?

Hi all, I just got my Miele T1 dryer replaced under warranty since my old one wasn't working properly. I have a question about a difference I've noticed.

My previous Miele T1 (which I had for 3 years) would beep at the end of the cycle, then continue running for about 10 more minutes before fully shutting off.

My new Miele T1 just stops at the end of the cycle without doing that extra 10-minute run.

Does anyone know if Miele changed how this works on newer models, or could there be an issue with my new machine? Thanks in advance!

Dryer glass streaks

Been noticing this streaking cloudy film on the glass window of our dryer. I tried cleaning it off but nothing works. I think it's on the other side of the glass that. Is there any easy way to take the door apart and clean that part of the glass? What is this buildup?

Miele Rusted Racks

Miele sold me a premium dishwasher that rusted through, contaminating my dishes and kids’ breakfast today. Offered only 10% off $600 replacement parts. They should replace these for free. Total health hazard.

Advice on Triflex HX1 Facelift

Looking for a new cordless vacuum. Been using Dyson cordless for years, but always seem to last less than 4 years. Been looking at these for several months and now they are 25% off.
Based on the Miele suggested model; they recommend the Triflex.
I know cordless vacs will have their issues, but how reliable are these? Anyone compared to Dyson?
Thanks!

T1 Dryer won’t start. Was just working. Help!

RESOLVED - I just ran a couple loads of laundry and when I was putting the last load of wash into the dryer, the T1 dryer model TWB120WP wouldn’t turn on anymore and the start/stop button was just flashing. I can’t get anything else to work. I have already tried unplugging it for 10 minutes to do a hard reset and when I turn it back on the start/stop just keeps flashing again. I have checked the lint filter and the plinth. I’m out of ideas. Anyone?? Please help. See video. Thanks
Edit- Resolved

should also mention now light doesn’t come on when I open the door.

TwinDos washer

Hi, does anyone have the twin dose washing machine? I am trying to turn off the twin dos option, but I can’t seem to do that without having full cartridges which I do not have. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. The service center was no help.

Currently there’s only the 9Kg twindos machines available on the Miele Australia website and 8Kg non twin dos machines available I believe when the 8KG machines sell out that Will be it.

The Start/Stop Button on my dad's W1 washing machine stops working for a couple of days, but then returns to normal. Any ideas what might be causing it?

All the other buttons on the control panel work without issue.

There are no obstructions in the door, and it appears to close correctly.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Dishwasher (G7130 SC) making noise when draining

As per the title - it's making a sort of strangled noise when it's draining. I've checked the impeller and there's nothing there.

[I was going to post the most boring video of the front of the machine and an indistinct sound in the background, but the subreddit rules say not to - I could add a link to it on a GoogleDrive if that helps anyone...]

What do you think: a) leave it be until it stops working; b) get a repair man in; c) none of the above ??

Help, Please. Any Ideas for Removing Obstruction from The Hose, Behind Handle, on Miele Cat & Dog 5000 (S5261)?

UPDATE

Solved this a few minutes after posting.

I took a wire coat hanger, and managed to hook and fish the offending object (small, 4 x 2.5 plastic envelope) out of the handle.

Help, Please. Any Ideas for Removing Obstruction from The Hose, Behind Handle, on Miele Cat & Dog 5000 (S5261)?

Hi,

I have a Miele Cat & Dog 5000 (S5261), which I bought somewhere in the early 2000s, and which is still going strong.

I love this vacuum cleaner.

Today, I was vacuuming in a corner, and (stupidly) vacuumed up something I could not see, and the suction immediately ceased, and the display (on the main body of the vacuum cleaner) showed the same (red) icon as when a bag is full.

I took the hose off the vacuum cleaner, turned the vacuum back on, and the suction was back at full strength, and the display went back to normal (the bag is not full).

Dropped a coin down the hose (from the end that plugs in to the body of the vacuum cleaner, and found there is an obstruction somewhere behind the hard plastic handle, right where the handle bends.

I think I vacuumed up a thick plastic bag, or potentially a piece of paper which has become balled up in the hose behind the handle.

Does anyone have any suggestions for removing this obstruction?

I think I need something like a snake, which has pliability (so it can bend), but a little rigidity (to push whatever the obstruction is away, down to the open end of the hose).

Thanks for any suggestions.

My Miele T1 picked up fragrance from a guests clothes — how to get rid of the fragrance?

I am abnormally intolerant to fragrances. A guest washed their heavily fragranced clothes in my machines and I can’t rid the dryer of the smell of whatever it is.

I’ve changed out the plinth filter and have successfully washed fragrance out off the lint traps. Have wiped out the drum.

But when I run the dryer, it smells like someone sprayed febreeze in it (EDIT: they use downy unstoppables at home)

Any ideas on what to do next to rid it of the fragrance?

I’m fully prepared to buy a new dryer, but of course I would prefer not to

Decisions.....Miele or F&P?

I am new to the world of steam ovens and have found two specific models that I am comparing/debating against.

Miele DGC6800-1SS and Fisher&Paykal OS30NPX1 F

Both units are older demo units at pretty good savings, 60% and 80% off respectively.

Price aside, which one would you prefer and feel more confident with regards to performance, quality and reliability?

I do like the Miele for its larger capacity oven and what seems to be a more modern UI when comparted to that generation of F&P.

Does the Miele's motorized door, present a future potential issue down the road?

Miele Guard L1 Allfloor! Did I choose right?

Dang! I did think I went through a couple if Q&A from across Reddit and for some reason came to a conclusion that the Allfloor is a better version so bought it and now realizing maybe I should have gone for the actual Cat & Dog version for using on carpets to remove my dog hair thoroughly!
Not that I have actually tried but just using it to clean the room feels like maybe I should have got one with motorised nozzle!

Any real users who can convince me I have done the right thing?

About to pull the trigger on a dishwasher, but I'm in desperate need to decide between a Bosch 800 or Miele 7000 series (or something more equivalent), and what model #? Also, how do I find a good local store near me that's better than costco/etc like people are saying?

If so, which model # should I get? I heard Bosch 800 has like 3 or 4 different iterations.. not sure about Miele 7000 series though.

How big the hole is for the washer :

Height: 33" - 33.5"~

Width 24"~

Not sure how far back though, I'd have to pull the entire dishwasher out from the back and... no way am I gunna be able to do that.

Miele tumble dryers’ wool programme is a joke. Surprised and devastated that Miele does not have the ability to dry wool

I admit I was very carefully choosing the washing machine and the dryer was kind of an afterthought. But still I bought their platinum tier dryer and expected it will be at least as good as my old Electrolux, given the Miele fabric care reputation.

Turns out none of the Miele machines have a functioning wool programme! Even the top tier ones have the same fluff (literally) up programme which lasts 5 minutes and then you have to immediately dry the wools flat, like my grandma had to do. W the actual F?!

Deeply disappointed, and considering getting a different brand dryer, but then the stacked machines won’t have the matching look which is a bummer.

How can Miele not have a working wool drying program, like how is it possible??!
