Confused about the Enhanced RN CPC post-October

I have my “Enhanced RN CPC” in the near future but likely after October when they scrap the run and replace it with the bleep/ball/mid thigh pull. I called the recruitment office and he said there will also be a swim test as part of the CPC. I don’t think he’s right about this as I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere.

I’m applying for the medical officer cadetship as a medical student and it’s not easy finding relevant information for my situation. Obviously since I’m just a scholarship applicant, I won’t head to Raleigh/BRNC for several years so I’d be surprised if I have to do exactly the same stuff as other officer candidates.

For anyone who’s done the Enhanced CPC, is it still just MEDFIT? I’m so lost. If anyone could give me a day-by-day (or close enough) summary I would be very grateful.

Anyone have experience using the Hammersmith bike parking?

Commuting to Hammersmith Hospital. On the trust’s website they say there are bike racks, but Imperial say there are secure racks I’ll need to register for too.

Does anyone have experience using Imperial’s own bike racks at Hammersmith Hospital? Are they secure and how close are they to the hospital? Thanks!

a month on the Vietnam railway

I’ve had a Ricoh GR4 for just over month and this was the first trip I brought it on. Best purchase of the year.

I’ve tried to pick my 20 favourites but it was so hard!

Blocked by the 2026 freshers’ account

@imperialfreshers2026_ blocked me after I requested it. I’m so confused. Maybe it’s because I have another uni in my bio? I’m transferring this year. Little frustrated tbh.

Looking to buy a compact flash

I’m looking to buy a compact flash for hopefully under £100. Just for hobby photography rather than professional-grade. I also mainly use a manual lens (40 1.2), so I’m wondering how focus confirmation (the green square) will work in very dark lighting.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

RNR Officer Application

I’m looking to join the RNR as an officer before my next year of uni starts. How long does the process normally take, and would it be feasible to do over the summer break? I have about 4 months free.

I’ll get over to a careers office tomorrow anyway, but was wondering if it was even possible to do it in this time frame. I also have a fair bit of fitness to do and have to get used to swimming again before I’d feel comfortable going for the physicals.

Cheers.
