Sam Prince. Run. Now
You've seen the title and might think this is going to be a plea to all those poor female souls to avoid Sam Prince. To be fair, that's not a stretch and equally viable, but actually I want to talk about something from the final episode: the bit where he approached Inga and Yaz.
It finally dawned on me that Sam seems to have a kind of playbook when dealing with others. It's either a "Get my desired outcome" or "Stir the pot, create drama, and leave untouched". If he can achieve either one of those, he sticks around, but if not, suddenly, and quite comically, he leaves at great speed.
That was really evident with the interaction I referred to above with his 2 past loves. I think he genuinely believed he could rock up, say a few sweet princely words and they could all be friends despite him being the architect of past unhappiness. When Yaz was completely unemotional about it and Inga was like, "you are nothing to me", he just ran away (only a slight exaggeration) in mid sentence/conversation.
He did the same to the singing coach on a recently shared clip after being called poor and I suspect, if my memory was better, he's done it many other times.
To be fair, he's on TV, the Reddit/Gram army will write all about it, he looks bad/plan failed, and it's embarrassing (so ... Run), but he needs to learn some graceful exit strategies. E.g. Chuggs' "I need some air", method.
Can anyone else think about similar examples of where he's there one second and the next...poof, he's gone?
