Verity engaged!
So Verity is engaged to her long-term boyfriend. Looks like an incredibly elaborate and thoughtful proposal too.
But no word of congratulations from Sophie and Melissa, both of whom she was extremely close to. I think they fell out because of Verity and Ruby's beef.
But tbh, the two girls seem to have favoured Ruby for a long time now. Which is weird because at least Sophie and Verity were super-close before Sophie even met Ruby (when she was with Sam T).
Not sure why they all side with Ruby so much? Even Liv seems to have distanced herself from V and sucking up to Ruby with the rest of them. I think she doesn't want to be alienated from that clique so is running with the crowd on this.
Does anyone know how to watch series 16-31 if you’re in the US?
I’ve tried a VPN but channel 4 keeps blocking it so I was curious if anyone knew of anything else. I’ve devoted so much of my life to this already plz help
Made in Chelsea versus Love Island, which is actually more dramatic?
Feel like Chelsea's got more genuine beef because these people have actual history and money on the line. Love Island's fun but Chelsea feels like real consequences sometimes.
Does anyone else find themselves changing sides halfway through a series?
I'll be convinced someone is completely in the wrong, then a couple of episodes later I'll end up seeing their point of view. Whether it's editing or just getting more context, my opinions on the cast seem to change all the time. Anyone else?
What's one type of storyline you'd happily never see on Made in Chelsea again?
Every reality show has certain storylines that seem to come around every season. Love triangles, he said, she said drama, exes returning. Is there one format that you're completely over, or do you still enjoy them?
Cameo
So, today i am 50. I know it’s quite old but I’ve always liked the show. My wonderful wife got me a message from Mark-Francis.
Can i say what a great message it was. He did a 3 minute message for me and referencing some great MIC moments.
I honestly think he’s a great man, is in on the MIC joke and has a great sense of humour. It absolutely made my day.
Which friendship ending surprised you more than any relationship breakup?
reddit.comHe was all prepared to gaslight her until she showed him the evidence 😂
Predictions for S32?
Just because I’m bored and impatiently waiting for next season!
Addicted and watching early original series. 😱
I am absolutely stunned at the level of bad behaviour from Spencer matthews to his then girlfriend Louise. I'm used to the more recent series where Miles and Sam Prince are the bad boys. But they are pussycats compared to Spencer. What a horrible damaged, and damaging man.
Ryan Libbey - letters to Leo
Does anyone follow Louise Thompsons partner,
Ryan Libbeys, posts where he writes ‘letters to Leo’?
Every time I look for how much he actually writes about his son, and every time it is very little.
These letters aren’t about bonding with his son, they’re basically a journal for his own personal view of his accomplishments/compliments to himself.
The last one was about his Father’s Day event at Twickenham but no detail hardly about how his son could have experienced the day, or how he felt to be with his son.
I find it worrying how one day he intends to bombard his son with these long in depth letters which are basically just big self ego boosts!
And expect his son to make him feel a certain way about receiving them
Does anyone else think the awkward conversations are more entertaining than the arguments?
The big confrontations get all the attention, but some of my favourite moments are the painfully awkward chats where nobody quite knows what to say. Those scenes somehow feel more memorable than the shouting matches.
"I'll never be able to make any money" - Liv
I've just been listening to Liv's latest podcast episode with her dad, and she's bemoaning the fact the country is doomed and how she'll "never be able to make any money" because of it. She goes on to say she'll never find a decent (/rich) husband because there are (supposedly) so many cheating men out there.
Am I hearing things correctly? Firstly, she previously made the point several times that her parents don't give her a penny and expect her to pay her own way, which I respect. But Liv catastrophising that she's broke (which she's done on a previous episode) and acting like she doesn't have a pot to piss in is quite insulting to the rest of us "normal" people. If I, and several of my friends, have managed to save up over the years, and manage our crappy earnings sensibly, what excuse does she have? Doesn't she run a business and presumably get paid for her social media posts, plus earning money from the podcast through advertising and sponsors?
On the husband point, it's depressing that she thinks a rich bloke is her only avenue to being successful and buying a house one day.
Predict the biggest breakup before the next series drops
Half of them looked like they absolutely despised each other during the end of season party anyway. Who do we think is going to split up first.
Jamie is a villain
I’m doing a full watch of MIC and am finally on season 18 where he is with Habbs. I don’t understand how he is so loved. Throughout the series he has gaslit so many women saying he is soooo in love with them and had never felt that way before, yet he cheats on them consistently. Given I have seen Habbs and Jamie ok social media before seeing how they got together, I can’t believe how she trusts him. From the start of their relationship he slept with Rosi Mai, was messaging numerous girls on instagram and went to Manchester and got in touch with a girl to meet up. Then he had to audacity to put it all back on her “we weren’t together” , “it wasn’t anything” , “we weren’t fully together”
Honestly, Sam was right even in this Season. That Jamie was a shit friend to him too. Even Mytton was pissed off with Jamie for messing around. I just don’t get him - he seems to selfish.
