Hi all.

So, many years ago, at the age of 16, I bought an acoustic and a "teach yourself guitar" book. I learned all the chords, barre chords, power chords, etc.

I got to the point I was able to even knock a few songs out. However, Iife got in the way and guitar playing fell by the wayside.

Fast forward to now, 30 years after first teaching myself how to play and I want to get back in to it. Where do I start? Obviously I have some knowledge, I still remember chords and all that. But I want to actually learn how to play, and not just be able to knock out a couple of favourite songs here and there.

Where should I begin?

So it's something that's been brought up before, but:

Does anyone else find it infuriating that Download is the second biggest festival in the UK (if you count reading and Leeds as separate fests) and yet has ZERO coverage?

I can watch full headline sets from IOW on sky arts, full sets throughout the day of Glastonbury on BBC. Same with Reading and Leeds. Rock Am Ring broadcasts live performances. Even Bloodstock uploads selected full sets to YouTube after the festival.

Download? Fuck all, except shaky mobile phone footage.

Did someone on the download team piss broadcasters off or something? It can't be due to lack of demand. Like I said, second biggest festival by attendance in the UK.

EDIT: I'm aware of radio coverage. I'm specifically talking about live video or just TV in general coverage

Yes we all love or hate them. Everyone seems to have an opinion. And it seems EVERYONE wants to share that opinion.

Moving forward, and for the foreseeable future, any more posts about camping chairs will be removed. The topic has run its course and there's nothing more to be said that hasn't already been said.

So, does anyone else feel extremely short changed by Download replacing Static X with fucking Creeper? Meaning we now have Creeper Friday, a Creeper DJ set, and then Creeper again on the Sunday? And this isn't a diss at Creeper. I actually quite like them. But really? Across the whole line up, it's them you choose?

Why not Wildhearts, for example? Ginger doesn't seemingly have long left (according to his own words) so why not send them off in style?

Are we really to believe none of the other bands were willing to take a headline slot?

None of the bands in Europe at the time willing to fly over (like Pennywise, hint hint)

It's happened, and there's nothing to be done about it, but it just feels fucking lazy.

Hi guys

Was getting my backpack out the shed ready for download this year and inside found a top I have no idea where it came from. Its a Long sleeve Cannibal Corpse "Butchered At Birth" shirt. It's pretty cool. The words "Cannibal Corpse" are printed to look like melted flesh! Never seen anything like it. Looks like it's quite rare.

Anyone interested in buying it, let me know
