I found this by the kitchen sink but it ran after I tried to grab it.

Is this a german cockroach?
Hello, I found this on my apartment wall. When I shinned a light on it and took pictures it did not run. But it did scurry when I tried to capture it for closer pictures. I live in NJ. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
