Cruise Control jumping speeds

I know people have made posts about this before but for me it has been really bad the last couple road trips. I set the cruise to 60 in a 55 and all of a sudden it jumps to 75 or even down to 45. I never noticed it happening until the last couple longer road trips in August when I had to be vigilant on paying attention.

This morning I went into settings - vehicle - Speed Assist and I toggled off Traffic Sign recognition and Adaptive Cruise Control from Signs. We'll see if that helps out. I sure hope it does since it is kinda startling when it just randomly jumps speeds on you.

Has anyone made those changes already and did it help? Any other options?

[Buying][CONUS] 210 Gyuto for weekly use, not storing/showcasing. +Petty package option

Looking to upgrade my daily/weekly driver knife. I'm not concerned about minor scratches, patina, number of times sharpened (unless it is an extreme number) or other minor flaws as long as the edge is in great shape and not chipped or rusted/pitted. Would like it to be good and sharp on arrival though. Hoping someone has a knife they've used/loved but have moved on from and it is just sitting around but since it is used they didn't want to list it here.

I'm ok with new, but looking for used mainly to save some cost and the fact that this is going to get used weekly.

Goal is to keep is to around $300 to my door, would possibly go higher +$100 for something special.

Gyuto 210

WA handle, not western.
Not overly picky about steel type. I'll figure out the nuances of whatever I end up with.
K-tip preferred but not necessary
I'm a lefty and the rest of the family isn't, so will want a 50/50 grind

Original box not required.

If you have both a Gyuto and Petty you want to get rid of, let me know and we can maybe do a package deal. If you have a Petty I'm looking for 120-150mm range

Hopefully this is enough info to get some replies!

Used built in Roadside, smooth!

Wife took my car to work as her ICE Equinox was at the Chevy dealership for a turbo issue.

Went out at lunch to find a flat. I fired up the My Chevy app and had it towed to the same dealer as her car was at. Took about an hour. She said they overcommunicated more than anything. She said the numbers of calls and text messages she got was comical. I suppose it is better to overcommunicate than under. $35 later the tire was patched and I have a new souvenir piece of aluminum something.

Rear door handle getting replaced, made the rubber squeegee sound

I think I saw this posted by someone else at some point, but my rear passenger side door was making the rubber squeegee on glass sound every time it would open/close. 4200 miles on the vehicle. Local dealership took a listen and ordered a new door handle assembly. Easy peasy. Hopefully everyone has as good of luck with any work getting done on their vehicles. I did tell them I would prefer not having them just spray lube it to band aid it for a while.

Also like the fact that it wasn't even the dealership I bought it from. Just closer to where I work so I could drop it off and catch a shuttle ride to the office.

Now, hopefully they can also figure out where the rattle is coming from on the rear hatch. Driving me bonkers.

Stereo replacement and crazy weight difference between stock and new speakers.

Had my speakers replaced, sub and amp added. Night and day difference. I went with the new Rockford Fosgate punch series speakers, an Alpine 12" sub, and a Wavtech 1000.5 Plus amp to run it all.

The amp, t-wire harness, amp power kit and amp install was almost 50% of the cost.

I do not have pictures of the Rockford Fosgate speakers but they are the new P1-V2 series. Did direct replacements for the 6 stock speakers and they also added the sound deadening tape to the doors.

Anyway, quick comparison of just the speaker weight. The stock speakers come with the plastic mounts attached so that is part of their weight. This is each speaker.

Stock 2.5" - 6.8oz

RF 2.5" - 5.44oz

Stock 6x9 - 29.45oz

RF 6x9 - 51.04oz

Stock 6.5" - 13.2oz

RF 6.5" - 33.52oz

Those rear 6.5" magnets were almost identical to tbe 2.5". It was crazy how light those speakers are. No wonder hardly any sound comes out of them.

Photos I included are of the stock speakers back and front. Close up of the 2.5" sticker. Box from my amp. Photo of which sub I got and it in the back. I have it laying down like that as standing up it would tip on hard acceleration. Sub control knob under the center console. Let's me turn the bass up or down. Then the amp placement under the back panel.

Paid cash and got a discount for cash. New stereo and front window tint was $2900. Reran the infinity audio and it is so fun to listen to now. Yes, the stock was passable, but this makes it fun.

2 year old cell phone died randomly over the weekend. UbreakiFix said phone needed a new motherboard. Boards are not available so basically unrepairable. Submitted a claim with all the necessary documents. Came back as denied claiming it was a "manufacturer defect" and those aren't covered.

Use this info as needed if you ever have to make a claim that random failures are not covered and considered defects but if you drop it on the ground or in a pool, those are covered.
