Velocity has just been implemented to my Browser-Based Hex Keyboard

HandsEarsEyes.Fun > Ears > Hex Keyboard

Velocity if off by default or it works in either of 3 ways :

1A- Note holding time (to be coupled with release:off) : the notes starts out at 20% volume and gain up to 100% in .25sec

1B- Right-click note holding time : same as above but only on right click; can be quite good to play alternate high and low notes using the 2 mouse buttons, provided you take care not to hold for long on the right side...

2- Mouse Wheel : Volume starts out at 100% and bending it down will have future notes played at current changed volume (notes already playing not affected).

Me Re Re-Repost! I've seen a video saying great minds are both the most and least confident of us all yesterday morning...

So this morning after I tried my little quiz asking you to try guessing the prime limits of intervals played at random, and failed to score even 25% out of luck (4 choices each question), I decided to trash the page on my site on which I explained my theory that each prime number provides a special aspect to harmonic sounds, and that I believe I could make up a test to prove I can hear it and discern prime limits in many cases.

And then I go on "programming" using my dear AI Claude and add a 2nd choice instead of only 1 out of 4, because I noticed my 2nd choice was often the right answer. I also make the machine classify 4 ratios and % grades instead of 1, as you can explain yourself by watching the video for even 10secs.

Then I go on and decide to try again at the new version, and score high enough to go like "this probably ain't just luck". Some of you may have seen version #1 of this post at 1am last night, but it vanished as soon as I played my 3rd dip and got around all typical luck-most-induced grades possible. Deleted pagel;ast morning, deleted the Reddit Post last night.

This morning I try the test again, in better shape than the previous time. Turns out I still score marks that have chances below 0.1% of happening out of luck, again. (for 2 of the 4 percentages : 1 and 4, the most meaningful... Now I know I can definitely do great on the test enough to really acknowledge : I CAN HEAR THIS! How many of us are there in this boat now?

Just when I trashed my page about my theory stipulating that each prime number has its own facture I can discern if I pay attention carefully...

I decide adding a 2nd choice of answer to my little quiz on prime limits & factors, and gather more stats to see if I score high enough to make me gulp my theory was true afteralll...

Result :

Main (top pick = highest prime) 17 of 50 · 34%

Either pick = highest prime 29 of 50 · 58%

Double efficacy (both are factors) 12 of 50 · 24%

Either pick is a factor 37 of 50 · 74%

this can't be luck alone!

Is septimal and 7-limit the same thing?

In other words, can one say 91/64 is septimal (7 x 13 / 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2) while it's obviously 13-limit harmony?

A nice document I've made about the use of microtones Worldwide and Historically

I've just whipped out a great document entitled "3 Levels of Microtonality" which exposes A- Microtones through bends and vocals in Western Music B- Worldwide and Historical use of microtones C- Reactionary Microtonalists in the West

I'll add to it as time goes; for now I just asked AI to whip it out of a few pieces of text and images I've earned last night and way before in multiple cases...

Probably the most complete list of JI Intervals on the Internet, from yours truly

https://www.handsearseyes.fun/Ears/Resources/JIIntervals.php?Referrer=ExperimentalMusic-2026-05-09

Contains all JI intervals listed in 5 different wiki pages and other listings...

And here's the beginning of something that should become greater :
