Warren Ellis presents...

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but it looks right to me. Back in the 00s the writer Warren Ellis would share music he was impressed by.

This is where I became familiar with the Icelandic band, Mum.

Another band he spotlit I've forgotten their name and lost their mp3s. He shared four or five songs by a band out of Northern Virginia in US.

This was 2004 to 2007.

I know it's not likely, but hey... the internet!

Thanks.

(I ended up here after doing a google search for the Russian Futurists 2 Dots on a Map, which I learn of from Ellis.)

Pharaonic DNA

Watched a DVD recently, a microbiologist Scott Woodward from BYU in Utah, US, went to Egypt and was able to get DNA samples of Thutmoses I and Amenohotep I. This was '96. I wasn't able to find much follow up.

I've read Hwass did some DNA testing more recently but hasn't/ can't/ won't release the information. Did Hwass's tests use any of Woodward's findings?

Any recommended reading? Thanks.

Forgotten website 13 O'clock

Back in the early ought, aka the dawn of the 21st century, there was a website with a name like 13 o'clock. It focused on genre media, the page runners were big fans of Angel, but they also covered publishing and someone like Ellen Datlow or Paula Guran had interviews. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Wish I could be more helpful but it was close to over two decades ago. Waybackmachine isn't helpful without more precision. Thanks!

13 O'Clock?

Back when Angel was in first broadcast, there was a website devoted to the horror genre, including Angel. I think it was called 13 O'clock. The women running the site were big fans. I've tried finding it the archive, but no luck. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Thanks.
