2014 Ford Escape overheating concern
Hi. About two weeks ago, I left the grocery store and found my Escape sitting in a puddle of coolant. It was still half full and I live close to the store, so I turned the heat up and raced home just as the car was starting to overheat.
I took it apart as much as I could in my driveway. Ford designed the cooling fans/radiator/condenser to come out as one piece from under the car. I didn't have the clearance for that, so I took off the bumper ,headlights, and cooling shroud to try and get at it from the front.
I got as far as where I could split the radiator from the cooling fans and see behind it. I threw coolant in the reservoir and pressure tested the cooling system. Everything held pressure.
I was kinda baffled, so I put things back together thinking that maybe a hose clamp was loose or something. I refilled it and let it run for about 20 minutes with no problem. At about a half hour, it started pouring coolant out. There's a slight incline on my driveway, and it looks like it's coming from the driver's side, but idk if that's because the driveway is uneven.
Anyone have any advice for an intermittent leak on this thing?
