Has Calgary ever had large or small scale SoapBox races?
I’ve always wanted to participate in one, but I’ve never heard of an active event in Calgary. Is there a reason for this? We could be a huge annual event.

PSA: Severe storm watch in effect for Calgary but the instability suggests not just a chance of large hail, but also the spicy flavour of Tornados!
It’s a watch, not a warning yet, but why wait? Shelter under your favourite bridge now!
I “need” to find a car for my 17yr old daughter in the next few months. I’m certain many of you have been through or facing this same scenario, so what vehicles have people found are typically the cheapest to insure for a new driver in a city? It’s been several decades since I last had to figure this out. It used to be cheapest with a four door, four cylinder, not red and under my parent’s policy. No clue if this strategy still applies though, and I don’t think I can say she’s an occasional driver if we have three cars. TIA.
‘24 Sport - I prefer the ride when loaded up with several hundred pounds of stuff rather than the stiffer ride when empty. I don’t want to haul 400+lbs all the time, I just want to smooth out the bumps and jostles.
Does anyone have experiences with aftermarket shocks/springs that would accomplish this same ride change? I’d likely move to a progressive spring, but I’ll need a shock set to match to get the compression and rebound
If the recommended shock set is budget friendly like a Bilstein 5100, all the better.
TIA.
