This is a new Tojiro Petty. I removed the new handle and rehandled it with some phenomenal, dyed and stabilized Box Elder Burl.

43 years ago this evening I attended my second Grateful Dead show and first at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The show was absolutely amazing. It also rained about 6" during the show. Read the jpegs of comments about the show. I've never experienced anything like that night, so long ago. I had tickets on the lawn but had friends in the pavilion. When the heavy rain started my friend handed me his ticket stub and I used it to get into the pavilion then gave it to my friend to get him in. It rained so hard that the water coming over the edge of the pavilion roof looked like a waterfall. There was a lightning strike on or next to the stage during Wharf Rat and Phil responded to the thunder clap with massive base bombs that you felt throughout your body. So I was driving around today for work and black throated wind came on, a Bobby tune that has always gotten me in the feels. I was thinking about how he and the Dead have been the soundtrack for my life. I looked up and saw a bald eagle flying just above the trees to my left right beside me, flying right at the speed of my truck felt like one of those big coincidences that isn’t a coincidence moments. Peace fam. 🤘🏽
