How often do you wash your caps?

I don't wear caps until when I started playing pickleball. I sweat a lot. I have a cap that has permanent sweat stains that cannot be washed off any more.

Of course, washing after each play is one extreme but not practical or realistic imo. I am wondering if there is a sweet spot on the number of wears or amount of time that can prevent permanent staining. Surely washing something like weekly would be a good compromise, but I am just curious what other people do.

Cellular Connection

Just bought the new 2026 CX-5 earlier this month. I read that it comes with 1 year of My Mazda subscription as well as cellular connectivity.

I got the app installed and activated at the dealer on the day of delivery. The thing is, the internet connectivity is very iffy. Many times the response to "Hey Google" would be something like "You need internet for this".

This is what I have observed:

  • If I start the car in my garage which has my home Wi-Fi, Google Assistant would be available for the remainder of the drive (i.e. even after I drive away).
  • If I start the car elsewhere, I would not be able to use Google / voice commands.
  • If I connect my phone's CarPlay, only sometimes Mazda would seem to get internet.
  • Oh, and the Mazda hotspot has NEVER worked for me.

How's everyone else's experience? Do I have a defective cellular module?

Trying out paddles

As we all know, there are hundreds of pickleball paddles to choose from. I am on my 4th paddle but even that is only a gen 2 paddle. I am eager to get a taste of foam-based gen 3 and/or gen 4 paddles. To the end I am very tempted to try some knockouts and if they don't work out, at least it was a fraction of cost.

How do people commit to buying one paddle over so many choices?
