Stepping down a level... how can I explain it?

I've been very senior in the NHS for many years. I'm about to be made redundant and I'm about 7 years off retirement age. I just don't have it in me to operate at that level again in a new industry and I can't go back into the NHS for 12 months as a minimum. I know I have transferable skills but I've only ever worked here so where do I start? Indeed is AWFUL! I'm looking at local government jobs sites, applying and hearing nothing back. Where do you find roles? How do you find time to apply for jobs and still work full time? As an older applicant looking to step down a level how is this going to look and how do I explain it?

Please explain!!

Just been for Sunday Lucy at at pub with the in laws. They all had roast beef dinner and there was one vegetarian option..... pesto linguine with beer battered / tempua vegetables. Totally weird menu. All beige. It was well cooked but it was like two separate meals together. Why? Why can't they do a cohesive vegetarian meal?

Footwear dilemma

When I go on cruises my feet swell up. I'm usually a UK 5.5 wide and I literally go up a while size by the end of the cruise. I exercise every day and we usually do 10K steps, use the stairs not lift, don't add salt and drink 2l+ off water so it heat is what it is. I need a nice pair of low heels that I can wear for my next cruise in a few weeks. I'll wear sandals in the day/ trainers bit need heels for evenings. Please give me some suggestions or advice

Challah tips.

I've got 2 fantastic challah recipes. One with fresh yeast one with dried. I use honey in both and olive oil. They both taste amazing. My issue is the texture. I can't get my challah to be fluffy and soft inside and the strands have a stingy texture sometimes. This last time the strands did not even merge together. Please give me some tips to create super fluffy bread!

Cruise trip and overnight

We are visiting Oslo I'm September on a cruise ship. We will arrive one morning and will leave the next morning. I really don't know what to do all day and night. We are food lovers so a nice restaurant would be good. Clearly we will have no/ limited transport. What do you suggest please?

How long to get your £?

How long is it taking NHS pensions to pay you out once you retire? So if I retire on day 1 September am I likely to get a pensions check 1 October and when would I get my lump sum?

Office chair for a woman who works long hours?

I work from home 5 days a week and study at weekends so I'm tied to my desk a lot. I am 5'3" and a woman. My legs are only short with a 27" inside leg. I am a UK size 12 and relatively fit. I have a bad back a lot of the time. I do have an ''ergonomic' chair from work but no one in our house thinks it's comfortable. I am looking for a comfortable office chair that will suit my height and not kill my back! What would you all suggest please as you can't seem to go and try any out any more!
