When to play Crisis Core - Reunion

I am completely new to the FF series, and recently bought FFVII Remake Intergrade. I am absolutely in love with it, and plan to finish it in the upcoming week or so, and have pre-ordered Rebirth for my Switch 2 which should arrive in June. I’ve also purchased Crisis Core - Reunion for switch (shoutout Best Buy, just $15).

Which brings me to my question, when should I play crisis core reunion? My understanding is that it happens years before the events of the original game and remake trilogy, but I didn’t know what the best way to sequence things.

Apologies if this is asked frequently, I did a cursory search and didn’t find an answer. FWIW I do plan to pick up the original and play it at some point whenever it goes on sale next.

70.3 in 2 weeks and I don’t know my race day gear yet

Yes yes I know, not ideal. I should already have it and have trained in it, but here we are. This is my first 70.3, and my only goals are a) finishing b) saving money (in regards to gear).

My main question is what I can get away with in terms of wet suit and tri suit. Is there a way to get around needing a wet suit? If so, what should I be swimming in (typically train in jammers) and what would make for an easy transition? For the bike/run I assume tri suit is ideal, but am interested in some affordable and reliable manufacturers to check out.

Additional context, if helpful:
Very comfortable in the water, not too concerned about needing the additional buoyancy
Event is the Omaha 70.3

Insane on handheld

This game has blown me away, but I’d only been playing docked. Played for the first time in handheld yesterday and was so blown away I just spent 20 minutes exploring this area.

We’ve all had those moments in gaming that we will remember for the rest of our lives. I am completely uninitiated with the final fantasy series and have little JRPG experience. On a whim, I bought the FF7 remake, seeing as it was on sale for $24 and I have been completely blown away. I never thought a switch would be capable of visuals this tantalizing and a world this satiating. I am completely engrossed. Shoutout to Nintendo and square enix, I am elated.

Anyone else have any moments like this?

Honorable mention to Kirby and the forgotten land S2 edition, a game so aesthetically rich and well designed. Opening sequence and levels really had me entranced as well.

It is not uncommon for me to have some drinks by myself, and want to fire up a game and mess around, only to realize I am worse at all of these games under the influence. Obviously, inebriation makes games that are text heavy, reflex heavy, or tactics heavy don’t really hit the spot. I’m thinking perhaps something where the movement feels satisfying, or perhaps skill ceiling is a bit lower, just something to vibe to.

So what some games that pair well with a brew?

I read the rules and they didn’t seem clear, so I’ll ask here. My perception here is that if I were to purchase the product for the listed ~$70, I will receive a credit of ~$71 to spend on future purchases?
