He might be ready for Christmas already
Sadly, I’ve not seen as many of these little guys so far this season, but was super excited to see this one hanging out on my Norway Spruce this morning.

Lots of back and forth today on 1/2 acre taking advantage of the lower humidity. 💪🏽
I heard taps on the window and when I turned to look it was big ole fat drops of water. Got a nice downpour for about 5mins! Still not enough but my plants will certainly take what they can get.
Planted these Siberian irises last year and they put out a few blooms. Wasn’t expecting this explosion this year.
Really impressed by the colors of this tree. Stands out like a beacon at the back of the yard. In full sun zone 8a south facing yard and no issues.
Posted to my stories so had to screen record to keep the music 😂 so please forgive the cropping.
This stunning fox paid a visit this evening as I was watering. I was hoping it would take a couple of squirrels with him 😅
Never seen so many sleeping bumbles on one plant!
Found these two cultivars, Hot Chana and Metamorphosa, by Proven Winners at my local nursery over the weekend. I was sort of surprised to see them and they were only $20 so grabbed them. They don’t appear to be grafted, so I’m guessing they’re air layered. Anyone have any experience with them?
I planted this Japanese Black Pine last year with plans to train it using Niwaki techniques. Any tips on where to start? I’d like to keep it to a manageable height of 10ft or so. It’s about 5ft tall now.
