Is it rude for a group to ask for your table

I wanted to study by myself and went to a cafe. They had multiple isolated booths along the back wall, some for small groups and some for large. All were taken up except for one large group table. It wasn’t busy so I decided to take it. Then 20 min later, a big group comes by and asks if I’m sitting alone. I say yes and they asked if they could have my table. I didn’t really mind because there were other tables but not the isolated booths I wanted. I get up and they say sorry - so they knew what they were doing was kind of rude. But if I also had a large group, it is kind of inconvenient. Idk I felt kind of weird about the situation. Is this rude or not? Don’t ever want to go to public places to study alone anymore.

Am I out of line

My husband ( M35) and I (F28) have been married for 3 years, was on and off dating for a couple years before we got married due to college/ long distance.

We’ve been happily married, no kids and good careers. We have a couple of houses, one we currently live in and the others are being rented out (no buyers when we were selling). We go to visit a family gathering for his grandmas bday and we see his cousin. His cousin, bob, has a family with 3 kids and a wife who fell on bad times due to his business taken out to natural disaster. We’ve helped him out with a grand here and there, nothing life changing but maybe help put food on the table. Learned that he turned down a 90K job bc he’s more of a “business man” and has been out of a job. They still have a nice car, a house they rent and are building a new one. One of the kids - which they took in bc her parents failed to raise her is in HS and said she wanted a car. My husband instantly looked up the car she wanted and entertained the idea of buying it for her bc their family was on hard time. First of all, husband is not related to her by blood and we have our own financial burdens. I found this to be extremely weird and he told me to calm down and threw his empty water bottle at me. I instantly had the gut feeling to wanting to leave this marriage and be financially independent of him. I still haven’t talked to him and I have thoughts of divorce. Am I overreacting or what?

tl;dr am I overreacting for my husband wanting to buy his cousins daughter they adopted a car when we have our own financial burdens.
