Any other Liam St. John fans in here?

My partner and I have been loosely familiar with them for a bit now, as Houndmouth fans and enjoying their collab song Devil in Disguise as well as a couple others we have heard. We saw them here in town recently and they put on such a fun show, even doing a super cool rock and roll cover of Bette Midler’s “ I Put A Spell On You”! I felt like I should have been wearing my KALEO shirt given the style of the show.

If you haven’t heard them before, I highly recommend them! Definitely a western goth type vibe if you’re into that sort of thing.

I just realized a pattern

I mean, that's what we do. Anyway.

I don't know if anyone else can relate, but I feel in my entire life, there's been pretty much a 1:1 ratio of "I love how much you notice/enjoy the little things in life" to "wow you are SO sensitive and easily set off by the smallest things!" comments directed towards me.

Like, duh! Maybe I just have a very close and intimate relationship with "little" things in comparison to a lot of other people around me. Two sides of the same coin. You *can* have it both ways in this case 😅

Anyway, there was no real point to this, just curious if that resonates with anyone else or if the NyQuil I'm relying on tonight got the best of me here 🤣

Big shout out to all the nice people who helped my friend in line at the banana bowl last night

Poor girl got hit with heat exhaustion out of nowhere while we were waiting in line for water and passed out twice. A few people standing in line behind us helped me help her get to the ground safely, and a couple walking by gave us their ice water without a second thought. We got her help via police officers and event staff standing nearby, but amidst the shit show that was that event, it was refreshing, pun intended, to see the decency in the people around us.

Posting this here because the renter-specific subreddits are a cesspool...

The house I am renting has concrete stairs that lead to the front door, just 3 steps, but there is no railing on either side. Not only does it look a little weird, but my elderly and limited-mobility mom struggles a bit on the stairs. Is the owner of the house required to have a railing put in if I ask for one?

I will say, there are 2 back entrances, one level with the ground and doesn't require any steps, and the other up on a deck that has a railing on one side of the stairs. Maybe those are sufficient by law?

Hoping someone is well versed enough in the landlord laws (or whatever) to be able to help me out here. Thanks!

How do I get this slime/putty off the Roku remote??

I don't know what this stuff is made of, but I'm having to scrape it off bit by bit and it leaves a film/residue behind. It's stretchy

KALEO concert ticket for 7/10 needs a new holder

Last minute, one of us can't go and would like to get a little money back on a ticket. Hit me up if you'd like to buy it and we can chat about price.

Too much and not enough

Just makes me feel wrong. Like, as a person. I feel like people don't really like me or accept me unless the sun is shining out of my ass. I guess it makes sense that love is so conditional, but having this realization at 35 and having such difficulty accepting it sucks. Everyone was right about me but there's nothing I can do to change how much I just am as a person.

Trying to raise a carbon copy of myself alone feels so cruel for both of us.
