First FPV kit - I need a sanity check before I buy
Complete beginner, never flown anything. Spent a full day researching with some AI help and landed here. My priorities are longevity, minimal upgrades, and compatibility with bigger drones and maybe RC cars/planes down the line.
Everything is locked in except the drone.
Base Kit (same across all options)

Drone Options
Option A — Happymodel Mobula7 1S ELRS
> Most proven, biggest community, no FC surprises reported.
Option B — BetaFPV Air75 Original 5IN1 ELRS
> Lighter, recommended by creators I watched, seems well loved by the community.
Option C — BetaFPV Air75 II Freestyle ELRS
> Newest frame, supposedly 80% tougher after crashes. Some FC issue reports made me nervous though.
Leaning toward Option B but genuinely don't know what I don't know.

- Which drone would you pick starting from scratch today?
- Is the Cobra SD still the move or is there something better at that price?
- Anything in the base kit you'd swap out?
