If we get knocked out tomorrow i hope we never share another world cup with Usa and Canada

The only good game in Mexico outside of Mexico vs Ecuador was Netherlands vs Morroco, France didn't play a single game in Mexico, neither did Argentina, Brazil, Norway. We didn't even get to see Ronaldo in Mexico.

Imagine if we were the only host, Argentina would be booed to oblivion for the way they speak about us instead they are getting glazed in the USA

I hope we never share the world cup again

Why are people scared about Ecuador?

Remember back in 2024 Copa America when we tied against them, that was one of their best squads ever and they tied, they weren't even trying to defeat us. Besides before this Germany win they were seen as the worst side in their group. The only reason they beat Germany is because Germany already qualified and they dont give a damn anymore

There's a reason they are third but yet people treat them like we are facing off against Argentina, let's have more faith in our team

Is our style of play not as entertaining as before?

I remember whenever I watched Mexico it felt like watching a mexican boxer, we just attacked non stop and played like aggressors, we had this unexplainable energy especially during world cups that allowed us to compete with teams like Germany and Brazil (2018, 2014)

Now we play very pragmatic, I've had this feeling since portugal game, we pass the ball around too much, hold possession but not in an aggressive way, in a very defensive way

In the game against South Africa, we only scored 2 goals despite them having 9 men on the field

From my memory, we had like 3 really good shots on target, based on actual stats we only had 5 shots on target despite playing against 9 men

If we sacrifice entertainment for results then hopefully we can make it past the RD of 16, because what's the point of this style of play if we have the same results

What do you think about Europeans saying Mexico should hold the tournament instead of USA?

I dokt know if you guys have been following the news but the labeled best referee from Africa was banned from entering the USA, USA has revoked Iran supporters ability to visit the USA and supporting their team, Iran team is not allowed to stay in USA they only play, pack up and have train in Mexico

Morocco fans have had some of their visas revoked

All the news before the workd cup has led to Europeans saying the tournament should be hosted in Mexico instead

Personally while Mexico has had history with the world cup, Pele, Maradona won there, I think they lack the Financials to cover such a tournament now especially considering the UANL pitch was undeveloped and left the Japanese team angry

Got a positive skin test today and did an x-ray, get my results on Thursday

I just wanted to vent, given this sub looks a bit dead, I guess all my thoughts can have a place to roam even if I get no responses

I got a TB test 11 months ago and it did nothing to me

however, I have been working at the airport as a cabin cleaner for the last 11 months

a cabin cleaner is responsible for cleaning up the mess travelers leave behind on planes

however my company screwed me over so I looked for a new job, that new job required tb test so im here now

so while I wish my test could come back as a false positive, the odds of it being positive are very high considering my job is high risk

that being said, I feel none of the symptoms, I dont have trouble breathing, weight loss, night sweats etc, so the odds would be leaning towards latent tb

I have insurance but I just got a new job and im preety sure that antibiotics treatment is going to fuck me up financially

im not a very lucky guy, so im not expecting a miracle on Thursday but hopefully this condition doesnt hinder my life too much

How many world cups have you watched?

I've watched 6 counting 2026,

I watched Mexico get humiliated by Argentina in 2006

I watched Mexico get humiliated by Argentina in 2010, Chicharito was really good this tournament

I watched Mexico lose to Netherlands in 2014, Rafa Marquez should have just let that bald guy shoot, ochoa would have stopped it

I watched Mexico get humiliated by Brazil in 2018, we looked really good for two games

In 2022, I saw the worst Mexican national team, luis chavez free kick and ochoas penalty save was the only good moment

In 2026, hopefully we make it out of the rd of 16 for once and we dont get humiliated by Argentina

2022 WC team: Ochoa gk, Sanchez, Gallardo, Moreno, Montes, Alvarez, Chavez, Herrera, Alexis Vega, Henry, Lozano

In my personal opinion, we are weaker now, they only thing we improved on is younger squad
