Ticketmaster Issue for 7/2 Game
My family and I went to the Mariners game last night, but because of the Ticketmaster outage/freeze, our tickets wouldn't load. We ended up stuck outside for over an hour with a huge crowd of people dealing with the same thing and didn't get into the game until the top of the 4th inning. We were lucky to get in just because TM finally was able to reset the server. It didn't work for everyone though.
We were also there for Diet Coke Night, and while we were waiting outside, an employee told us that the giveaway merch would be held for people affected by the ticket issue. When we finally got in, the promotion was gone. I asked someone at guest services and they said that since it was a "mini promotion" it was only offered until the end of the 3rd inning which... we missed because we were outside.
I'm not trying to complain—I know the staff were dealing with a pretty chaotic situation and I can only imagine the amount of nightmare customers they had to deal with—but I'm curious if anyone else had the same experience. Were you able to get your giveaway later, or did you miss out too? Has anyone heard if the Mariners or Ticketmaster are doing anything for fans who were affected?
