Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Logitech G502 Hero from a shop called SshComputer in Algeria.

I was really excited because this was my first Logitech mouse. I've always heard that the G502 is one of the greatest gaming mice ever made. if not the greatest by many people and it the most sold mouse of all times.

When I first opened the box, I noticed something odd. I looked at the weight compartment and saw what looked like fingerprints on the weights. That made me wonder if the box had been opened and resealed before I received it. Since I hadn't even touched the weights yet, it seemed strange, but I couldn't be sure, so I decided not to worry about it. "euuh just forget it!" ENJOY. that was my reaction.

I plugged the mouse in, installed Logitech G HUB, i verified the S/N -- it a real one not fake one, and started using it. i played some games with it put 1600DPI that my beloved dpi etc...,

after i played for about 30 to 40min i quite the game, Almost immediately, while scrolling through Twitter and other websites, I noticed that the scroll wheel would occasionally miss a scroll step. At first it was very rare, so I thought maybe I was imagining it. Unfortunately, after about a week, it became much worse. The wheel started missing scrolls constantly, sometimes even missing several scrolls in a row.

At that point I contacted the shop and explained everything.

They told me the box had never been opened and that if it had been, it would have been obvious because it was factory sealed. They also said the mouse came through Logitech's official distribution (manufactured from logitech). I figured the fingerprints I saw were probably from manufacturing or quality control, so I stopped worrying about that.

The shop then told me to send the mouse back for inspection. They said that if their diagnosis confirms the scroll wheel is defective, they will replace it with a brand new Logitech G502 Hero.

They even sent me an empty shipping box, and today I packed the mouse carefully as i could, and sent it back. Now I'm waiting for their diagnosis.

My questions are:

• Has anyone else received a brand new G502 Hero with a faulty scroll wheel right out of the box?
• If you had this issue, was it covered under warranty?
• Did your replacement mouse work properly?

I'm hoping the replacement won't have the same issue that would be insanity and crazy if it had the same issue i would probably considering i'am "cursed", because I really like the mouse otherwise. i just hop a new mouse that has no problems at all no faults. and i hop all goes good for them with the diagnosis so they can send me a new one i hop.
