can we agree enemies spawning and attacking you as / just after you get locked in an objective animation is toxic?

11th is not looking promising for us despite the psychic / cover changes

The primary concern is that all grotmas detachments are being reworked into far smaller scale 1 dp detachments with a tiny amount of their original power / effects. For most armies this isn’t an issue as the grotmas detatchments are not the only viable option.

For grey knights though, it is the only playable detachment (other than potentially banishers, but I’ll get to why that is also dead in a ditch in a bit). Warpbane is far too powerful of a detachment rule to be a 1 or 2 dp detachment, but none of the grotmas detachments seem to be surviving in their current form as stated by gw. The cover changes are also a double edge sword, meaning ap 2 weapons are actually a threat, reducing the durability of already overpriced units.

As for banishers, the no 2 Strats on a unit per phase rule means that banishers loses the 1 party trick that made it worth using through shadows into rapid ingress.

Unless there is massive pts cuts, we get a great new detachment (unlikely since the new ones are all meant to be minor 1 pt choices) or warpbane is an exception to the grotmas reworks (also unlikely as that is basically gw admitting the codex is unplayable) early 11th is looking rough
