It took a while but I finally realized tyrannosaurus and tarbosaurus can do the pair fight animation. its so flippin cool that this is a thing. (Ignore the bloodthirsty triceratops its a reserve built around the late cretaceous)

I just didn't realize until yesterday that they could do this. Flipping hell this games gonna be good when its finished.

Just yapping about climate change and how it makes me anxious. 17m(I'm sorry I genuinely don't know how to do flairs.)

To preface this I'm 17, I like paleontology.

I do alot of research on extinct animals so I can draw them. But the thing that always makes me get more hopeless for today's world is that climate change in the past seems to be the cause of almost every extinction. It just fills me with dread that slower climate shifts in the past caused very large extinctions where things just sorta got wiped off the face of the earth. I don't know how to articulate it but it fills me with massive amounts of dread.

Anyone else get that sorta feeling? Especially since no matter how much progress we make, we always get pushed two steps back.

Are there any really benign cryptids?(specifically unknown species not like out of place animals)

I mean like if I saw a bright pink spider once then never again. Like the most plausible mundane cryptid.

Are there any like really benign deepsea cryptids

I'm not talking about something giant I'm talking like a small flounder that's blue or something. Like a species that has only been seen once.

Let's say a hypothetical sauropod cryptid is alive why hasn't anyone found the hundreds if not thousands of juveniles for every adult?

This just erks me now that I thought about it. Sauropods had a survival strategy of "throwing as many children as possible into the wild and hoping one makes it". Which worked well. But this like an added reason as to why sauropod cryptids don't make sense. Sauropods in any modern ecosystem would leave so much damn evidence. Like you would be practically tripping over baby sauropods or dead baby sauropods. Half of every local carnivore kill is gonna be a sauropod. Their bones would be in every bird of preys nest. Youd find predators gathered around nesting grounds revealing their locations. Every society near them would have some idea of where they nested because a sheep/goat sized baby sauropod would be defenseless and feed most of a village, bones would be littered around every human hunting encampment. I know sauropod crypitds are already implausible but this is yet another reason.
