ORD Gets Hate... but
Boarded a plane from ORD-SAN, half of the plane boarded but we were told we were going to deplane due to an apparently significant mechanical issue.
Was told there was a flight from MCO arriving shortly, we were in B9 and had to board in C15. I laughed knowing that once we go down this rabbit hole it turns into a 3-5 hr delay.
Fast forward - no joke the entire plane moved from B to C terminal, waited for MCO flight to land, got on the plane and only arrived 30 min late to SAN. If we were in SAN, MCO it would have been a multi-hour delay but since we were in ORD, it turned into only a short delay.
Well done UA

Why I love United…..
Not sure of the backstory but saw this at ORD. Apparently a medical retirement.
Not a dry eye in the gate area
