We finally released the demo for our frantic co-op sheep herding game!

After quite a few iterations we think we've finally reached a nice blend of chaotic cooperation and cosy sheep herding :)

The game is for up to 4 players - you play as dogs who must work together in order to guide stubborn flocks of sheep, craft clothing for ostriches and penguins, and run the local shop.

We're very excited to see teams of doggos barking together :)

You can try the demo right now on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/4604260/Sheep__Socks_Demo/

We’ve been refining the co-op in our game for a while, but most of our playtests were with the same groups.

When new players finally tried it, we realized something: the game was way harder to pick up than we thought.

Herding sheep isn’t exactly an intuitive skill, and players needed much more time to understand what was going on. So istead of adding tutorials, we tried to remove mechanics.

Some features we thought were core to the experience were actually making the onboarding harder. So we stripped things down and reintroduced mechanics progressively across levels.

This helped us clarify the core loop and made the early game much easier to grasp.

We're pretty happy with the levels sequence now, and just released a demo. We'd love to hear what you think of the game and its difficulty !
