I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar. I started getting interested in perfume earlier this year, and it RAPIDLY snowballed. I decluttered a ton of stuff and used the money toward several sample orders, and I'm at the point now where I feel like my collection is pretty much complete (for now, of course 😉).
What's weird is now that I have what I consider to be a solid, curated collection, I find myself less enthusiastic about wearing perfume at all. It's bizarre, because I went from wearing it every day, to wearing it less often while sampling, to just wearing it occasionally. This is despite the fact that my sample marathon produced some SERIOUS loves.
Is there something wrong with me? Lol. Has anyone experienced something similar? I know part of the fun was sampling, so maybe I'm just less excited about it because I don't have much left to try in my smell list. Plus maybe it was interesting learning what I like and don't like, and now I have a pretty good idea of that. I don't know. Maybe it's like a traditional phase.

Has anyone experienced brain fog on finasteride or dutasteride? Or experienced it with one but not the other? There are honestly probably a thousand different reasons I could be having cognitive issues, but I feel like it's gotten worse since starting finasteride.
I'm working on my first ScentSplit order of 1ml samples and I'd love some feedback. The theme is tropical with a few vanilla options thrown in. I'd really like some wet, juicy, fruity tropicals and some creamy, lactonic, and/or sugary vanillas.
Anything that comes off as powdery or waxy is a big no to me. I'm also not looking for spicy, woody, soapy, or overtly floral.
What do you think of my current list? Anything I should add or remove, or that's so amazing I should bump it to 2ml?
By powdery, I mean that vintage makeup powder/waxy lipstick scent. Some floral is probably okay, but nothing rose-like. I have an intense aversion to iris and rose notes at the moment, and anything that remotely resembles them. Open to sweet, sugary, tropical, and/or fruity.
I'd also be interested in some green or aquatic fruity options.
My budget is pretty much anything as long as a sample, decant, or travel size is readily available.
I'm looking for a non-sticky, tinted lip gloss/oil with no shimmer and no plumping. I want it to have tint but not be opaque, and neutral in color leaning toward coral or rose. I have so many that meet some criteria, but they're too opaque, have shimmer, are plumping, don't have tint, or the color is just too bright or unnatural. It can also be a gloss stick if it's shiny enough.
Right now my all-day lip stuff is Bubble Talk Back Hydrating Lip Serum (this stuff is amazing). I love the finish of Fenty Gloss Bomb Heat, but it was not tolerable and it dried my lips out after one use. Is there anything similar with no plumping and no shimmer?
I split it into two orders in case I don't like Shalimar L'Essence and have to return an entire order to get all my points back (I really wish they had it in store because I hate buying full bottles on a whim). The way I had to split it kind of sucks though. I didn't want the GWP, and I have no idea why I opted to get the My Devotion mini when I already have three of them that I don't use, lol 🤦♀️
I've been on OM 1.25 mg since 2/28/26. Dread shed started after 4 weeks and is just now showing signs of slowing down. I was prepared for that. What I wasn't prepared for was the massive increase in body hair. I expected an increase but it is far beyond what I thought possible. Most of my body hair is very light in color - or it WAS until now. I've been using an IPL device, but the hair is EVERYWHERE. Back, shoulders, face, neck, you name it. Additionally, I've experienced an increase in my heart rate of about 10 BPM along with sporadic palpitations. I'm considering reducing my dose to 0.625 mg. I can see that 1.25 mg is working in some ways - I have new growth at my temples and around my hair line, but the dread shed has been so severe that my part has widened even more. For those of you who went down from 1.25 mg to 0.625 mg, I have some questions:
Why did you reduce your dose and by how much?
Did it cause another shed?
Did your body hair or other side effects become less severe?
Did you still get results with the lower dose?
It's the heart rate that concerns me more than the body hair. I'm just not sure what to do.
This is so silly that I had to share. Is it wrong that a small part of me wants to buy the 1.7 oz to complete the set? 😆
Apologies for the profanity that's coming. I'm all for being patient, but I'm about to lose my shit. I've been on oral minoxidil 1.25 mg for about 10 weeks, 6 weeks into the dread shed, losing copious amounts of hair while simultaneously turning into fucking Chewbacca over here, AND I have minoxidil-induced tachycardia. My heart rate hasn't increased enough to be "concerning," but I'm seriously questioning if this is worth it. I don't have a problem with my progress because I didn't expect to have any by this point. My issue is with these side effects.
I've never been a hairy person, so I really didn't think it would be this bad. I'm already on spironolactone 100 mg, and I started finasteride at the same time as minoxidil (I'm on 5 mg). I am RIDICULOUSLY hairy everywhere except for my fucking head, and I'm just about done with this shit. I have dark hair in places I've never had it before. Everywhere else is covered in so much peach fuzz that I feel like frickin' Teen Wolf.
This SUCKS. I have a mustache, long nose hairs, the hair that grows on the back of my neck at the bottom of my hair line is wrapping around to the front, my pubes are like 4" long, and my eyebrows are practically connected to the hair on my head. When I get goosebumps, fucking FORGET IT. I look like a goddamn porcupine. WTF IS THIS?? I did not expect to be THIS HAIRY. When is enough enough?
What can I do? How fucked will I be if I reduce my dose to 0.625 mg? The idea of triggering another dread shed while STILL IN ONE is not a very attractive prospect to me. I don't know if my vacuum can survive this.
