Dress alteration/reputable seamstress

Hello! Posting again. I got have a traditional SE Asian dress that I’m not 100% happy with the fit. I was wondering if anyone had a seamstress that they knew or recommended that I could take the dress to.

This also doesn’t have to be a formally professional service—if someone you know that is willing to accept payment for alterations, I’m happy to discuss!

Added a pic of the dress in case anyone wanted a reference (it’s a more modern ao dai)

Việt food recommendations

Hi. Just moved here, feeling incredibly homesick from my family. Used to be spoiled by visits with homemade food.

What are your việt restaurant recommendations, I’m talking authentic like your aunt made you a homestyle meal. I’ll also take recommendations for Indian and Korean; my college roommates’ parents would always fatten us up when they visited.

Thanks.

Reference situation

hi all, this is a bit lengthy so bear with me. Just graduated from college with a masters. I went through 3 rounds of interviews with company (hiring manager and research associate, senior director, and full day interview). Following full day interview they asked for my references, my PI and lab members. They asked for professional or academic (including group members was fine), and I’ve had issues with contacting my previous internship managers in the past and relayed this to them. My main concern was them contacting my PI because I’m not sure about how she feels about me. We are cordial and I get my work done, but she has expressed to another grad student that I was “strong personality” I assume in a derogatory way. But even then she let me TA for her in my last semester so my tuition was covered and still did work in her lab.

Anyways, I had a meeting scheduled with the company, but they delayed it because they asked for more references after contacting the previous 3 i gave them… I got in contact with a manager, another professor, and volunteer director.

My concern/question aside from maybe wanting to talk to more managers is why they’ve been dragging out the reference check process? It’s been almost 2.5 weeks since my interview and it makes me a little nervous to be passed up because I was stupid and didn’t do it in the first place
