"The mindboggling result of the Fontinalia film festival" -by a disgruntled critic
Really, Fontaine audiences? You have a heartfelt, original story about love, friendship and loss, directed by none other than THE former hydro archon herself, Furina de Fontaine. And you pick the generic BOOK adaptation as the winner for the film festival? Just because it has stuff like "well choreographed action sequences, impressive special effects and faithfulness to the source material"? Are your attention spans that lacking? Do you really CRAVE stimulation 24/7? And the lighting wasn't even that good. Whoever was in charge of that must have been sleeping on the job and they had to make do.
The acting of the main lead was wonderful. Incredibly genuine. You could feel the sorrow, melancholy and happiness in every line, every action, every gesture. It's like she was recalling past moments in her life than playing a part. I CRIED at the end; THAT'S how much that final hug moved me. And she gave off such an ethereal feeling, almost like she was out of this world. Who even WAS the actress playing detective Hurlock? That one nosey reporter with the, for some reason, well dressed camera? I think I saw her hiding in my bushes one time. And THAT'S your leading lady?
I am, quite frankly, APALLED by the audience's lack of taste. But what else to expect from puddle spawns who treat people's trials as their personal entertainment?
