Is it illegal to brush your waves?

For me atleast, it's a lot easier to brush when my hair is dry, as opposed to wet. And it feels a lot nicer afterwards :)

The first pics are brushed out 2nd day hair, and the third is before (slept on hair).

I use a tangle teezer.

Why do I get wet frizz while applying/combing my conditioner through my hair?

Picture is of my hair airdrying, to give context. (I also plopped it, which kinda ruins my waves, but dries it a bit quicker, but whateverrr)

Keep experimenting with my hair, and the thing that I've noticed is that whenever I comb my hair, when there's conditioner in, I get wet frizz. And I'm not sure how effortlessly it should glide through, but I do get some tiny knots, even when I have conditioner in.

Left me wondering if it's doing more harm than good, since when I go and turn my head, so that my hair is on the other side of my face, and detangle there too, it gets even more tangled (what's the point?).

I kinda like lightly grip my hair like a ponytail and smooth it through my mids to ends, so when I then go and comb it, it feels like I'm fighting it essentially because it is then a single strand :))

Would it be better to not comb at all during applying conditioner?

Also my ends take a looot longer to dry than my roots, related to porosity I think.

Thanks!!!

Should I be brushing before or after shower to prevent my roots from matting?

The first and second pics are when it's brushed out (just brushed it, and I washed it a couple hours ago.)

The third pic is roughly how it looks when I just let it dry.

4th pic is obviously the ball of hair that came out :)

It tends to get matted when shampooing, and I only comb my ends through while rinse out -conditioner in them, so the roots kinda get left out :p

It feels so much better when I brush it out, no longer that coarse and piecey (if that's a word)

Only have a conditioner and a leave-in rn, don't think I need more for the time being atleast.

Thanks!!

What sort of a bun do you do?

Looking for some ideas for my hair :) Something easy to do and comfy. I only have a hairtie rn, nothing else.

Thanks!!!

To brush or not to brush?

I tried brushing instead of combing it, it turned out quite nice in the first picture I think. Mainly used to combing as it irks me to lose hair (last pic) :p Haven't washed my hair in three days or so, so the roots are a bit oily, but also tangly which was why I had to detangle :)

I think the 3rd pic looks nice (2nd day, I wet it a little and squished) but the thing is that I can't touch my hair (especially near the roots, without my fingers getting occasionally stuck somewhere :D

How can I get my hair to be less weighed down?

How can I get my hair to be more floaty and less stuck to my roots after washing? The first pic is after drying for a little bit.

The 2nd and 3rd are after waking up (the day after washing) and then rewetting and scrunching a little. And the 4th is during the day. You can see those dark spots underneath (which surprisingly still looked wet/dirty), which is especially where it feels heavy for some reason :p

I airdried after scrunching excess water from my hair. Skipped my leave-in this time.

Thanks!

Got these for free from a school. Total newbie. Which to keep? Also advice?

Hey.

Looking to get myself a budget audio setup, and luckily got these for free from a school.

Have no idea what I'm doing, but I think I need an amplifier and obviously speakers.

Thinking of selling/donating the LG.

Thanks!!!

Edit: Also couldn't get a proper pic to save my life... Sorry about that..

Tried squish to condish!

So I gave it a go. The first two photos are after it dried. It kinda looks weird :D But the thing is that it's really soft, which I really like. The third photo is how it "usually" looks.

So after washing my scalp I gently moved my soaking wet hair to the front and then applied conditioner and started raking it gently through. Kinda struggled at the start due to not enough slip (maybe waiting before raking it, after applying eould help??). Then I waited for sometime and squished gently. Then I flipped it to my back and rinsed.

Then hopped out and applied my leave-in, with "prayer hands", then plopped (I rarely plop).

For me flipping it back and forth in the shower causes a bit of tangling and I don't knlw if it was the flipping in the shower or the plop that caused it, but it lifted my hair off my scalp, which was a weight of my shoulders (...) I hate that feeling when it is kinda stuck.

How did I do? How can I achieve the same waves as in the third pic, but off my scalp like now.

I just honestly fear like I'm causing breakage over this experimentation :pp

Thanks!!!

Any tips on detangling? Especially in regards to the roots? Any other tips?

Detangling it dry takes forever and is often quite painful (even if/when I start from the bottom) And it doesn't last either.

For my routine I do a double wash, followed by a conditioner. Comb it through (still working on this part, and the amount of conditioner to use.) Then wait and rinse it all off. Then hop out of the shower and use a bit of leave in, combing it through the mids to ends. It's pretty much a gamble as to how it turns out.

The second to last photo is a bun I use for work, and the last one is when I take it out at the end of the day :S

Thanks!

How is it?

A couple of different photos. The first two were taken today (wash day) under different lighting angle. And the last one was yesterday after I combed it.

Don't know if there is any significant breakage in my hair, or some that would stand out. And don't know if for example combing it dry in the morning and before shower affects it. I also comb it when I have conditioner in.

The breakage is I guess mostly due to sleeping, because I can't really find a good solution for it :'(, other protective style suggestions for daily use are also welcome.

Thanks!!
