Found a kimono thrifting And saw hand stitching on a few parts

I bought this kimono at Halloween sale in Arizona and I knew as soon as I held it It was more than a costume piece. It was legit whatever it was and I didn't know for sure and then as I looked it over a little more I was like "oh I know this is a vintage kimono of some sort." and started looking it over more. I knew it was something worthwhile so I kind of just put it in the cart and then did my normal things paid for the kimono and whatever else and then got home and I haven't really had time to take detailed pictures of it until just now.

I'd like to see what yall say because I ran it through Google and I don't know if Google's right more than 25% of the time. So any and all information on what this kimono is enlightening and any help on value/worth too would be much appreciated. I know the open underarm is for women and children? because they have to readjust their kimono pretty often. At least that's kind of what I remember... I have done a little bit of research. I just haven't had a lot of time to do so.

I'm more likely trying to sell it too. So if any of y'all are interested let me know and give me some time to figure what a fair deal would be. what it's worth. I'm just glad I saved it from the thrift store and the costume aisle

This is one of my favorite covers. Rick Baker (American Werewolf, Star Wars)special effects legend

The Incredible Melting Man. This particular movie in '77 and it's popular because of Rick Baker's gooey gory nastiness he put into this movie but the crazy situation is While he was committed to doing this movie And contractually obligated to stay on that movie, he had to put together a crazy team to finish out a legendary situation, which was George Lucas calling on him to get about 10 to 15 different alien masks for the cantina scene In a 10-week schedule he took a trusted apprentice that is well known as much as part of the ILM. That Legend is a 14 year old Rob Bottin (The Thing) and A over seeing Phil Tippet (special effects legend) to solve that particular feat.

Fun fact, Rob Bottin is actually the tallest cantina band member in the movie.
