What do you guys think about the chemistry between the members of ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1)?

Personally, I feel like they’re still being very careful around each other, and honestly, there’s still some distance between them. I know they can joke around with each other now, but it still feels like they’re not completely comfortable with one another yet...

It’s been around 10 months since they started living and training together, but for some reason, I feel like the three foreign members tend to stick together more. I mean, outside of their schedules, they seem to prefer going out with the other foreign members rather than with the non foreign members. And when they’re talking among themselves, they often speak Mandarin even when there are non foreign members around. Personally, I find that a little rude or inconsiderate. When I look at groups like Treasure or ZB1, the foreign members don’t seem to do that, so it sometimes makes me wonder, "Is this really okay?"

And when they’re asked about their life in the dorm, it feels like they don’t really have many stories to tell, or they keep repeating the same stories again. Especially the lower dorm where Arno, Leo, Geonwoo, and Sanghyeon stay—it apparently feels like there has been almost no activity there from the very beginning 😭.

Even in their behind the scenes practice content, during breaks they seem to spend most of their time on their phones. Only a few members actually talk to each other, and even then, they’re often on their phones at the same time 😭. In their music show behind the scenes content, I also noticed that a lot of them were on their phones. And then I remembered Jaehyun from Boynextdoor saying that the members of Boynextdoor don't bring their phones to music shows, even though they're already more experienced as a group, and it just made me go dkshwjakdhs 😭.

I guess what I keep wondering is, do they just not talk to each other that much because they’re still awkward and not completely comfortable with one another, or do they simply not really want to get that close? I honestly find myself wondering about this a lot. I'm sorry 😭.

And I'm sorry for comparing them again, but when I look at ZB1, who also came from a survival show, I remember hearing so many stories about them even from the very beginning of their debut—even from members who weren’t particularly close with each other at first. They talked to each other a lot, the foreign members were also very integrated with the others, and they even argued sometimes. I just hope that ALD1’s interactions will eventually become as natural and comfortable as theirs, or maybe even more so.

Maybe it’s also because the ALD1 members all have very strong individual personalities, and each member seems to have their own distinct aura? I’m not sure.

What do you guys think? Please don’t attack me 😭. I’m just sharing my perspective based on what I’ve seen so far. I genuinely love all of the members 😩.
