Out-of-towner -what are the odds of getting tickets to games in February
Lifelong Feyenoord fan living in New Zealand, I now have a potential opportunity to tick off my bucket list item to see them play in De Kuip.
I'm thinking that logistically it would make sense to aim for the games against NEC and Telstar on 14 and 21 Feb respectively - a chance to see them twice in 8 days and I figure a better likelihood of securing tickets than for a game against the bigger teams.
My quandary is around securing tickets for these games. I don't really like the idea of dropping several thousand $$$ on flights without having match tickets in my possession.
Unfortunately it seems that tickets don't go on sale from the official ticketshop until a few weeks before the game so I may have to take the risk. Realistically, how big a risk am I taking? Will there be individual ticket sales or do they all go to season card holders? If there are individual tickets are they likely to sell-out within minutes of going on sale? (Viagogo, Stubhub appear to offer earlier access to tickets but I understand these aren't official sellers so I'm reluctant to go down that path.)
Any other thoughts/ideas/suggestions?
