Issues/Confusion during enrollment - Goethe University Frankfurt - Molecular Biosciences MSc.

I've recently been offered admission to Goethe University Frankfurt (on 2nd July), and I'm now completing the online enrollment (Immatrikulation).

I'm confused about one section of the enrollment portal that asks for information about previous completed degrees. (Attached Images)

Since I've already graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology (Year system, no semesters, total 4 years), I understand that I should fill out this section.

However, the issue is with the "1st subject" dropdown. The list contains German subject names, but I can't find an exact match for Microbiology. I see options like Biologie, but I'm not sure whether I should choose that or something else.

My questions are:

  1. Since my degree was already evaluated by uni-assist and I've already received my admission letter, is this section now only for administrative/student record purposes, or does the subject I select here have any impact on my enrollment?
  2. If Microbiology (Mikrobiologie) isn't available in the dropdown, should I select Biologie, or is there another category that would be more appropriate?
  3. Has anyone with a foreign bachelor's degree encountered this during Goethe University's enrollment process?

Issue 2:
There's also a section called Prüfung.

I'm unsure what exactly counts as the "examination."

Should I enter:

  • the date of my final examination,
  • or the date shown on my degree certificate?

I'm probably overthinking it, but I don't want to accidentally enter incorrect information after already being admitted.

Any advice from current Goethe students or other international students would be greatly appreciated.

Uni-Assist application forwarded but no response from universities (Goethe Frankfurt & Oldenburg)

Hi everyone,

I applied to three Master’s programs in Germany through Uni-Assist:

  • Goethe University Frankfurt – M.Sc. Molecular Biosciences
  • University of Oldenburg – M.Sc. Microbiology
  • University of Osnabrück – M.Sc. Biology

Uni-Assist confirmed on 19 May that my applications were evaluated and forwarded to all three universities.

I later received confirmation from Osnabrück that they have received my application. However, I have not received any confirmation or portal activation emails from Goethe University Frankfurt or Oldenburg.

What’s confusing is that a friend who applied to Goethe Frankfurt (same program, same Uni-Assist process) submitted her application after me but already received her activation email.

It has now been a few weeks, and I’m not sure if this is normal processing delay or if I should contact the universities or Uni-Assist again.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Should I just wait longer or reach out to the admissions offices now?

Any advice would be appreciated.
