Downtown Fresno businesses fight $30 event parking surge prices

I feel like this is an easy fix, based on what other cities do:

  1. Get rid of flat rate except in garages.
  2. Street parking prices go up but options remain for 30 minute increments.
  3. First hour is $4 ($2 per :30). Second hour is $6 ($3 per :30). Then $8 for each additional hour. A 3 hour event would cost $18.
  4. Vehicles can be moved to take advantage of a new hour, but must be moved at least two blocks if moved to another meter.

Why isn't the power zone meter an option for all rides?

As someone who exclusively rides power zone, I would love to see the ability to turn on the power zone meter for all rides. For lots of people like me, the display is essential for a ride. Seems like it would be easy enough to make it an option for non-power zone rides, the power number is already there, just not the meter that shows what zone you are in.
