There is meeting going on but i cant focus because im always looking at this beauty.

I can’t even put in words to describe the beauty of this piece. It’s amazing (or crazy) to think how some nice lump of shiny steel could bring so much happiness.

This watch is not a new release but i have been eyeing this one for quite some time now, pulled the trigger about a week ago, I have always been a sucker for vintage themed watches so here are my comment so far of this model. (Maybe i would do a continuation review after wearing it for some time after the honeymoon period)

on the visual perspective i would say it is beautiful, the blued hands plays with the light, the mother of pearl subdial pairs very nicely with the dial, however i must say that the dial is not enamel kind like have been displayed on the pictures, they are that kind of glossy texture one (i dont know what they call them) nonetheless they still do look nice and pairs very well with the whole aesthetic of vintage pocket watches. The printing also looks very nice, it pops up and shines under the light.The bezel for me is the most interesting part that really holds the vintage aesthetic together, i would describe it as little stairs that blend in with the watch case.

They said that the movement used for this watch is in house, i dont really know what kind of movement it was based on but they are decorated very nicely. (If you do know about this movement I would be happy to learn about it). The winding is very smooth, the crown is big and i can grip it very well and winds it without any problem.

I have always been interested in Merkur in general, they have their own philosophy in Chinese watchmaking, reviving and improving movements from the Chinese 7120 as an example. Overall i am pretty happy with the purchase and would look forward to hear from you guys.
