Ranting into the void here - but I really wish AS would offer free bags up to 70lbs for status holders. Every other major airline does it, and it feels silly when my lowly silver status with United gets my 55lb bag on for free while my Titanium at AS costs me $100.

Seems like such a minor perk they could add that’d go a long way with frequent flyers.

EDIT: I didn’t expect this post to be so controversial lol. I’m not crying about this or saying AS sucks or anything - was just pointing out that many other airlines offer this perk and I’m surprised AS still doesn’t. It would regularly help me out when I travel but it’s not the end of the world

Can I still pick 2x of 10k status point head start for the next year if I already did that for the 95k perk? That’d be 40k status points at the start of 2027 already!

Also it’s interesting the 125k perk offers a 50k point bonus, but the 150k perk is only a 15k point bonus?

Sometimes I’m tempted to pay for the fc upgrade just for the extra status points, but I’ve heard that sometimes paid upgrades still only land you in U class. Also would be nice to know if it was the 150% or 200% to determine the value.

Is there any way to see before paying? Or the option to refund the upgrade if it’s a dud?

I’ll still have a few months left of my paid membership before renewal when I’ll hit this perk. Will it not start until my current one is expiring? Or can I wait to activate it?

Nice alternative to SeaTac. Not sure if it’s just seasonal but glad to see it offered again.

Ever since Alaska re-formatted their booking confirmation emails, the flights are no longer added to my calendar automatically with gmails auto event from email feature like they were in the past. Everything else like hotel stays and rental cars are automatically are added, but it seems like it’s whatever this new format is broke it for flights. Rather annoying to add 3-4 flights/week manually.
