Hey guys I’ve looked through a few posts on here about restoring Roughout leather and just wanted to list out what I was planning to do to these and see what everyone thinks:

1.) Brush boots with stiff brush - I got a brush with light, steel bristles that I plan to use lightly

2.) saddle soap the Roughout leather (I usually use saddle soap over dawn, but let me know your thoughts)

3.) let dry for a day

4.) Brush Roughout leather again

5.) condition/oil Roughout leather - any recommendations on products? I have obenaufs LP, obenaufs oil, bick 4 and some older red wing conditioner

Any steps I’m missing? Any tips/suggestions? Thank you so much!

Can anyone provide more information regarding the type(s) of leather used here, model of the boot or any other information? Thank you!
