Red Light has now "Prefer Known Release Groups" Sorting Feature

i was just reading Red Lights latest 2.2.8 Changelog and it got a new sorting feature "Prefer Known Release Groups". that looked quiet handy and interesting. because im used to only watch the HQ scene groups from usenet.

so I googled a little bit in their GitHub and found this thread:
https://github.com/The-Red-Wiz/TheRedWizard/issues/219

so it seems now that Red Light has the ability to prioritize the leading scene groups so you always get the best possible file first.

it seems a list of the whole scene groups can be found here

reading the GitHub link its the trash guides list and that's the best one out there.

So kudos to the Red Light developer. I think that's a great idea and addition to the add-on

[serious] NASDAQ 100 als Basis-Investment statt All-World – macht das jemand?

Moin zusammen,

Vanguard uses profits from its European UCITS funds to subsidize its U.S. ETFs

Vanguard has explicitly stated this mechanism on its corporate website:

“We have international subsidiaries that operate on a for‑profit basis. The profits generated by these subsidiaries are returned to our U.S. fund shareholders, helping to further lower the cost of investing.”
Vanguard, “Why ownership matters” (investor.vanguard.com/corporate-portal)

This is not a hidden practice; Vanguard openly presents it as a feature of its mutual ownership structure. For a U.S. investor, it means some of the fees paid by European UCITS holders indirectly subsidize the cost of running the U.S. funds.

Publicly filed financial statements confirm this. For instance, Vanguard Group (Ireland) Limited’s recent annual accounts show annual profits in the tens of millions of euros, with substantial dividends paid up to the U.S. parent each year. These dividends represent a real and recurring cash flow from European investors to the U.S. entity.

Vanguard’s ownership structure dictates the flow of profits

Unlike publicly traded asset managers, The Vanguard Group, Inc. is owned entirely by its U.S.-domiciled mutual funds and ETFs. Those funds, in turn, are owned by their shareholders. Because of this mutual structure, Vanguard operates its U.S. business at cost it charges the funds only what it costs to run them, with no profit margin added for external owners.

Vanguard’s international operations, however, cannot be run on the same at‑cost model due to local regulatory and market requirements. Instead, they are structured as for‑profit subsidiaries.

any profit those foreign subsidiaries make flows back to the U.S. parent company, The Vanguard Group, Inc., which is owned by the U.S. funds. These profits reduce the overall expenses that would otherwise have to be charged to the U.S. funds, thereby lowering their expense ratios.

Könnt ihr da was P/L mäßiges empfehlen.

Xiaomi Mi 13T -> Samsung S26
Oneplus Nord -> Samsung S26

Can I run UsenetStreamer and AIO Streams completely locally (No domain/reverse proxy/external URLs)?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently self-hosting UsenetStreamer and AIO Streams via Docker on my home server. Right now, the documentation for these tools often mentions setting up domains, reverse proxies (like Traefik), and exposing a BASE_URLto the internet so Stremio can talk to them.

Ideally, I want to keep my setup completely locked down. Is it possible to fully utilize both of these addons strictly over my local network (using local IP addresses/ports like http://192.168.x.x:3010) without assigning a domain or exposing any URLs to the outside world?

I tried it and it didn't work. I wanted to use it in POV Addon

Hi everyone,
We are currently renovating our home and I’m looking for the right hardware ecosystem to start with. I’ve decided to use Home Assistant as my brain, and now I need to pick the sensors and switches.

My requirements:
Protocol: Zigbee or Matter (I want to avoid Wi-Fi where possible).
Availability: Must be easily available in Europe.
Budget: Looking for great price/performance. No luxury "locked-in" systems.
Hardware needed: Motion sensors, temp/humidity, door/window sensors, smart switches, and relays.

My current frontrunner: Sonoff
In my initial research, Sonoff seems to check all the boxes. They have a huge variety of hardware, ship within the EU, and the pricing is very competitive.

My big question: Zigbee vs. Matter?
Sonoff offers both. Should I stick with the tried-and-true Zigbee versions for everything, or should I start buying their Matter-over-Thread devices where available?

For those using Sonoff with Home Assistant: How is the build quality and long-term reliability?

Info: AI was used for structure and for grammar check.
