My fiance and I are considering choosing this as our first dance song because it really speaks to our relationship. It's one of the most beautiful songs ever in my opinion and we share the overall sentiment of it. but maybe some of the lyrics are too sad? Specifically in the first verse talking about "you can recognize when it's real bad". Are people even going to be analyzing the lyrics that much? We want this song but just worried about people misinterpreting. I especially love that the lyric "I don’t need my name back" goes from being about Noah's surrender to anonymity, to representing my fiance giving me his last name 💗 I find that so special. Open to other thoughts and opinions !
