PLS HELP ik this is super last minute but i just saw the do not pack list for fordham and it says no desk hutch, ottoman, large rugs…. im so confused because i’ve seen many fordham dorms with all these things. i was really planning on bringing these and already spent the money. is the do not pack list legit like will they ask you to throw things away or is it not a big deal.

help with audition nerves/bad singing days!!

hi everyone!!

so when i was younger, auditioning came very naturally to me and i was able to sound like myself in front of others. but gradually over time, i have become much more nervous to sing in front of people and i feel like it blocks me so much as a singer. i also have “bad singing days” where it feels like singing takes effort and i have a lot of work to do, but then the next day i will sing so effortlessly and honestly think i should be a famous singer LOL.

over the past 5 years or so i have performed semi-regularly and i feel like i can never predict when my voice will just “fail” on me. its not that i sound bad per se, people are still very complimentary toward me, its that i sound 10x worse than when im alone with low stakes. i think it has a lot to do with my breath, but it affects my tone and overall “effortless” ability. there are even days when my sound check in front of a few people sounds good, but my performance sounds pretty drastically different.

now, im considering auditioning for a college a capella group, but im worried my nerves will make me loose out on an experience i know i would be qualified for. today i attempted to “simulate” and audition by standing up by myself and pretend i was singing for an audience, and i didn’t sound good at all. and, i say this not to be cocky but just to explain, i know i am a very talented singer. is there anything i can do to just overall make my voice more predictable? pls help

how much $$ do you spend?

hi everyone! i am an incoming freshman at fordham RH! i’ve been wondering, how much money do u spend per year at fordham? spending money only (clothes, dinners, drinks, going out, transportation, etc). i know it depends but if any fordham girls could let me know, since i typically enjoy going out to dinner and spending money on clothes and stuff and i know nyc is pretty expensive. tysmmm :)

question

is it a BPD thing to be attracted to people who are protective/dominant? i feel like that is a pattern with everyone ive been attracted to and im wondering if this has anything to do with the BPD need for reassurance.

ROOMMATE QUESTION pls help

i found a roommate and we both requested eachother, so i assumed we would be put together. but i just realized that since we both applied to the manresa scholars program (loyola), theres a chance one of us will get in and the other won't, and we'll be separated. i thought that if we became separated, the person who got into loyola could deny loyola housing so that we could still room together, but now i'm not sure. whats the chances we get separated?
